    摘要: New equipment for continuously variable transmission, essentially composed by a disc with variable inclination (I), articulated by means of automatic servo-mechanism (C), positioned in the driver axis (A); the inclined disc system activates an oscillatory ring, also called pivot (D), by means of two opposed bearings (B) fixed in the pivot; the pivot activates two alternative elements of opposed power transmission, called rod (E); the force transmitted by the rods is applied to an arm of opposing levers, called balancer (F), with a turn radius originating in the center line of a transversal axis (M) positioned in the center of the transmission; in one side the transversal axis is installed in the interior of a semi-axis (P) and transmits continuous rotation in only one direction by means of a sprag bearing and on the other side symmetrically; in the internal side of the set, there are external conical helical gears (K), integral to the semi-axis; the exit-axis, or moved (H), is the own axis of a sprocket (G), positioned symmetrically between both gears, which center line is axial to the entrance axis of the transmission, being able to have a lateral exit of 90° or inclined exit in relation to the entrance axis; the sprocket receives the torque from one of the gears when the driver axis turns.

    摘要: Continuously variable transmission system that is capable of gradually and smoothly multiplying TORQUE while decreasing RPM and vice-versa. The infinitely and continuously variable TORQUE and RPM ratios are produced by causing a central assembly including a hub having one, two, three or more co-axial opposing pairs of short shafts (7,8,9,10) which share the same plane with each other and with the hub's multi-directional center and which are radially and symmetrically mounted on its outer perimeter, to oscillate around some or all of such short shaft axes. Each short shaft coaxially carries at its outer end a one-way clutch assembly that engages in one rotational direction of its carrying short shaft and disengages its carrying short shaft in the other direction. All such freewheels are in turn continuously and uni-directionally engaged to a common rotatable output gear (52) which is caused to rotate through a simultaneous combination of the short shaft oscillations and their one way engagement/disengagement freewheel action. The central assembly is caused to oscillate either through gradually pivoting a rotating swash plate (1) co-centrally mounted to and pressing against the oscillating central assembly (5) through a thrust bearing (4) or through gradually pivoting while rotatably displacing one pivotable and rotatably displacable yoke with respect to a second fixed and opposing yoke, wherein the yokes are connected to each other through the oscillating central assembly's short shafts.

A rotor (350) with inwardly raised vanes or pawls (355) is provided in the chamber, the pawls extendible into the sub chambers an amount depending on the relative speed of rotation between the housing and rotor. The torque converter uses the interaction of the pawls with static fluid in the sub chambers to vary the torque responsive to the sensed output load as well as to the speed of rotation of the input shaft (321). A one way brake may be provided to ensure output power is transmitted in the desired direction.
