A particle measuring apparatus includes a distributor unit arranged to provide a first partial flow and a second partial flow by separating the second partial flow from an input flow, a particle collecting unit to collect particles from the first partial flow by using a first filter, and a particle monitoring unit to form charged particles by charging particles carried by the second partial flow, and to provide an electric current by collecting the charged particles.

Apparatus (1) for simultaneously and continuously determining a change in length and a change in weight of heated samples (31, 32). The apparatus (1) comprises a furnace (2) having a furnace chamber (21) for accommodating at least a first sample (31) and a second sample (32). The furnace (2) is capable of providing a predetermined temperature profile in the furnace chamber (21). The apparatus (1) further comprises a length measuring device (4) capable of detecting changes in length of the first sample (31) while the first sample is arranged in the furnace chamber (21) and a scale (5) capable of detecting changes in weight of the second sample (32) while the second sample is arranged in the furnace chamber (21).
