Provided are a method and apparatus for positioning an interference source, relating to a field of wireless communications. The method includes: performing, by each cell, a frequency offset compensation on a subcarrier transmitted and received by the cell and used for carrying an interference source detection sequence according to a system reference subcarrier; performing, by each cell, a correlative processing on the interference source detection sequence carried by the subcarrier received by the cell by using a local interference source detection sequence which is generated locally; and in response to determining that a result of the correlative processing performed by each cell is correlative, determining, by each cell, a cell transmitting the interference source detection sequence as the interference source. Through embodiments of the present disclosure, when a system has aliasing of multiple different bandwidths, it does not require to traverse and detect various aliasing scenarios but only requires to detect correlative possible sequences in the aliasing bandwidths to position the interfering cell, thereby reducing positioning complexity and increasing calculation speed.

There is provided an apparatus in a wideband radio transceiver for mitigating interference between a wideband radio operating in a wide frequency band and a narrow band radio operating in a narrow frequency band within the wide frequency band. The effects of transmissions by the wideband radio on the narrowband radio are reduced by creating by the wideband radio, a transmitter notch of decreased transmit power centered at a frequency in the wide frequency band that is fixed in relation to the wideband carrier frequency. The wideband carrier frequency is then adjusted so that the transmitter notch is aligned with the second radio's narrow frequency band. The effects of transmissions by the narrowband radio on the wideband radio are reduced by creating by the wideband radio, a fixed receiver notch of decreased receiver gain in the wideband receiver, and aligning the narrow band signal with the fixed receiver notch.
