摘要: Provided are a thickener and a method for controlling the thickener which can obtain, in a step which includes a thickener, such as solid-liquid separation step, concentrated slurry having high slurry concentration from a bottom of the thickener.
In the thickener and the method for controlling the thickener used for concentrating slurry in hydrometallurgy of nickel oxide ore, the thickener being used in solid-liquid separation equipment provided with more than one thickener so as to increase a concentration of slurry to be obtained,
the thickener includes: a rake which is mounted in a movable manner in an upward and downward direction of the thickener, and in a rotatable manner using a center shaft provided in the thickener, as a rotary shaft; and a proximity switch which adjusts a lower limit position for the rake during operation, and
the proximity switch is set such that the lower limit position for the rake during the operation is set at a position separated upward in a vertical direction by a distance of 25 to 35 cm from a structural lowermost limit position for the rake thus increasing a concentration of slurry to be obtained at a position below the rake.

摘要: Provided is a water treatment system that prevents overlook and misdetection of abnormal flocculation. The water treatment system includes a mix tank, a flocculation tank, a plurality of floc-particle-diameter measurement devices, a fault detection device that detects abnormal flocculation, and a notification device that notifies occurrence of the abnormal flocculation. The fault detection device includes: a calculator that calculates at least one of a difference and a ratio between particle diameters of floc; a storage that stores therein a tolerable range of at least one of the difference and the ratio between the particle diameters of floc; a determiner that, when the calculated value is within the tolerable range, determines that it is normal, and when the calculated value is outside the tolerable range, determines that it is abnormal; and an outputter that transmits an abnormal flocculation detection signal to the notification device.

摘要: Apparatus and method are provided for separating grit from liquid sewage while retaining organic solids in suspension. A sustained rotational liquid sewage first fluid flow, an induced upward liquid sewage second fluid flow, and a sustained rotational liquid sewage third fluid flow are employed in an apparatus having a cylindrical grit settling main chamber, a grit storage secondary chamber including a central grit settling access top mouth opening, a vertical shaft, a means for causing rotation of the vertical shaft, and a partition extending transversely through the main chamber and forming upper and lower subchambers. A fluid flow speed gradient is established between the liquid sewage third fluid flow and the liquid sewage first fluid flow. In this manner, grit is separated from liquid sewage.

摘要: The invention relates to an arrangement in a liquid treatment space, such as in a clarification basin or like clarifying liquid by gravitation, the arrangement consisting at least of a feed assembly (1) for leading of the liquid to be treated, such as waste water or like, into the treatment space (K) by a fixed distribution channel (1a) being led therein. The feed assembly comprises at least two elongated and in a longitudinal direction (s2) thereof straight feed channels (1b) being fixed stationarily in the distribution channel (1a) and extending therefrom sidewards, in order to achieve in the treatment space (K) a radially widened feed zone (z1) in respect with the distribution channel (1a) by means of an efflux assembly (1c) provided with the feed channels, such as flow openings (1c1), nozzles and/or like, the efflux assembly discharging the liquid to be treated into the treatment space through full length thereof.
