A grease trap for separating grease and solid waste from waste water. The grease trap includes a tank having a downwardly shaped bottom. An upwardly shaped divider divides the tank into an upper chamber and a lower chamber. A hole near an upper part of the divider allows waste into the upper chamber. An inlet invert in the tank receives incoming waste water, while an outlet invert removes water from the tank. A lid covers the tank. A pipe extends through the lid, upper chamber, and lower chamber for sucking solid waste out of the lower chamber.

A water supply system includes a first pipe, a water reservoir, and a Venturi pipe having a first Venturi nozzle terminal, a second Venturi nozzle terminal and a Venturi nozzle branch arranged between the first and second Venturi nozzle terminal. The first Venturi nozzle terminal is connected via the first pipe to the water reservoir. The first Venturi nozzle terminal is connectable to a second pipe to fill the water reservoir. The branch of the Venturi pipe is connectable to a third pipe to supply taps. Water flows through the Venturi pipe from the first Venturi nozzle terminal to the second Venturi nozzle terminal when the water reservoir is filled, and water flows through the Venturi pipe from the second Venturi nozzle terminal to the Venturi nozzle branch during the supply procedure, to provide a water supply system which requires less maintenance and is less temperamental.

A stormwater filter comprising: a vessel having an inlet and an outlet; and a screen disposed within the vessel and arranged to divide at least part of the vessel into an upper section and a lower section. The stormwater filter further comprises: a flow splitter positioned adjacent the inlet of the vessel and/or a substantially vertical screen disposed adjacent the outlet in the upper section of the vessel. The flow splitter comprises an inclined leading edge and first and second deflecting surfaces extending from the leading edge. The first and second deflecting surfaces are angled relative to one another so as to direct incoming flow laterally away from an axis between the inlet and the outlet. The vertical screen comprises first and second screen portions which are angled relative to one another. The first and second screen portions are each hingedly connected to the vessel and are detachably coupled to one another at their distal ends.

Apparatus and method are provided for separating grit from liquid sewage while retaining organic solids in suspension. A sustained rotational liquid sewage first fluid flow, an induced upward liquid sewage second fluid flow, and a sustained rotational liquid sewage third fluid flow are employed in an apparatus having a cylindrical grit settling main chamber, a grit storage secondary chamber including a central grit settling access top mouth opening, a vertical shaft, a means for causing rotation of the vertical shaft, and a partition extending transversely through the main chamber and forming upper and lower subchambers. A fluid flow speed gradient is established between the liquid sewage third fluid flow and the liquid sewage first fluid flow. In this manner, grit is separated from liquid sewage.

The invention involves a vibrating inclined plate box settlement separator, which is used for the liquid-solid separation, particularly applicable to high-efficiency settling concentration and separation of solid particles from liquid or water. The separator consists of an upper box and a lower tapered hopper. The upper box and the lower tapered hopper are connected securely to each other and sealed. The upper box is a rectangular or square steel-structured box with two supporting platforms on both of its sides, on which several spring assemblies are installed. The inclined plate box modules which can independently vibrate are installed on the spring assemblies. The feed box is placed on top of or inside the upper box. An overflow collect chute is welded on the side of the box frame opposite to the feed box. The inclined plate box modules are connected to the overflow collect chute with rubber tubes. The lower tapered hopper is a square or rectangular square tapered hopper or a square round tapered hopper. It is mounted securely onto steel-structured bracket or reinforced concrete framework. A smaller wear-resistant tapered hopper is connected to the bottom of the first hopper.

The separator body includes a float, having a first density, and a ballast, having a second density greater than the first density. A portion of the float is connected to a portion of the ballast. Optionally, the float may include a first extended tab adjacent a first opening of the through-hole and a second extended tab adjacent the second opening of the through-hole. In certain configurations, the separator body also includes an extended tab band disposed about an outer surface of the float. The separator body may also include an engagement band circumferentially disposed about at least a portion of the separator body.
