    摘要: Coke oven corbel structures include an assembly of multiple stacked tiers of refractory blocks defining a plurality of substantially vertically oriented central flues.     摘要: The present technology is generally directed to horizontal heat recovery and non-heat recovery coke ovens having monolith crowns. In some embodiments, an HHR coke oven includes a monolith crown that spans the width of the oven between opposing oven sidewalls. The monolith expands upon heating and contracts upon cooling as a single structure. In further embodiments, the crown comprises a thermally-volume-stable material. The crown may be an oven crown, an upcommer arch, a downcommer arch, a J-piece, a single sole flue arch or multiple sole flue arches, a downcommer cleanout, curvilinear corner sections, and/or combined portions of any of the above sections. In some embodiments, the crown is formed at least in part with a thermally-volume-stable material. In further embodiments, the crown is formed as a monolith (or several monolith segments) spanning between supports such as oven sidewalls. In various embodiments, the monolith and thermally-volume-stable features can be used in combination or alone. These designs can allow the oven to be turned down below traditionally feasible temperatures while maintaining the structural integrity of the crown.

    摘要: The present invention provides an oven-width measuring apparatus which does not require any cooling water pipe so that the oven-width of a high temperature oven chamber such as a coke oven chamber can be measured rapidly and easily, and which is capable of resisting a high temperature during the time necessary for it to be in the oven chamber for the measurement. The oven-width measuring apparatus is used for measuring the distance between oven walls facing each other of an oven chamber, that is to say, the width of the oven chamber, and comprises a measuring unit 2 which includes an oven-width measuring instrument 8 and a power supply unit 10, and is accommodated in a endothermic box 3 the outside of which is covered with heat insulating material 4. The endothermic box 3 is a jacket filled with liquid 7 having endothermic ability, and the liquid 7 is preferably water. The measuring unit 2 also includes a data-recording unit 9, or a wireless transmitter 18 for transmitting the data of the measured oven-widths to an external data-recording unit 22. The endothermic box 3 is provided with an outlet, at the bottom thereof, from which the liquid 7 is discharged.

    摘要: A refractory shaped brick is disclosed for coke ovens having two vertical partitions held together in a traction resistant manner by transverse binders, forming an acute angle to each other, so that their mutual spacing varies over the whole partition length by the dimension v. The shaped brick is delimited by a lower surface (22) and by an upper surface (24) parallel thereto. Both surfaces (22, 24) are plane except for form-fitting grooves and projections. The shaped bricks are as thick as a partition and have both a plane lateral surface (18) on the coke side and a plane lateral surface (20) on the flue side. A binder area (14, 16) projects from the lateral surface (20) on the flue side. The binder area (16) has at least one projection (26) or one groove (32) on the upper surface (24) and on the lower surface (22). The projection (26) or groove (32) extends transversely to the longitudinal direction of the binder area (16), effects a form-fitting bond between stacked shaped bricks and is spaced apart from the free end of the binder area (16) by a distance which is clearly larger than the dimension v. The groove (32) or projection (26) extends in the direction of the binder over a width which is larger than v.
