Die Erfindung betrifft einen Spinnbalken zur Herstellung von schmelzgesponnenen Filamenten, umfassend zumindest einen Düsenrachen (2), in dem mindestens ein Spinnpaket (3a - 3d) angeordnet ist, sowie mindestens einen Verteilblock (4) mit mindestens einer Spinnpumpe (9), wobei über einen extern angeordneten Extruder (10) flüssiger Kunststoff zu der mindestens einen Pumpe (9) gefördert wird, die den flüssigen Kunststoff über den Verteilblock (4) zu dem mindestens einen Spinnpaket (3a - 3d) mit mindestens einer Spinndüse fördert. Die Erfindung ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Düsenrachen (2) und/oder der Verteilerblock (4) an zumindest einem Teil der Außenflächen mindestens ein Flächenheizelement (12) aufweist, das ausgebildet ist, diesen Teil der Außenfläche elektrisch zu beheizen.

Provided is a new and better solution to the problems associated with the premature softening of PLA filaments in the additive manufacturing of three dimensional articles. It is based upon the finding that poly (lactic acid) filaments with high crystallinity offer much better resistance to heat-induced softening. The crystalline poly (lactic acid) filament can accordingly be used in the additive manufacturing of three dimensional articles without encountering the problems associated with premature softening, such as poor quality and printer jamming. The crystalline poly (lactic acid) filaments can also be used in additive manufacturing of three dimensional articles without compromising the quality of the ultimate product, reducing printing speed, increasing cost, or leading to increased printer complexity. It more specifically discloses a filament for use in three-dimensional printing which is comprised of crystalized poly (lactic acid), wherein said filament has a diameter which is within the range of 1.65 mm to 1.85 mm.

The invention relates to a method of manufacturing fibres made of a composite based on a thermoplastic polymer and conducting or semiconducting particles, which includes a heat treatment, said heat treatment consisting in heating the composite, by progressively raising the temperature, having the effect of improving the conducting properties of the fibres obtained or of making the initially insulating fibres conducting. The invention relates to a process for making a monofilament-like product from a precursor containing a multitude of continuous polyolefin filaments, comprising exposing the precursor to a temperature within the melting point range of the polyolefin for a time sufficient to at least partly fuse adjacent fibres and simultaneously stretching the precursor at a draw ratio of at least 2.8. With the process according to the invention a monofilament-like product can be made that shows improved tensile properties; making it very suitable for application as e.g. fishing line.

A method for producing super fine meltblown fibers increases the length of the meltblown jet thermal core to increase the dwell time of the extruded thermoplastic polymer within the jet thermal core. Through use of the method it is practical to use low viscosity resins and further to provide meltblown nonwovens with superior barrier properties to the passage of fluids and particularly gases. The method further provides a useful means for blooming internal additives to the surface of the fibers.

Der Nacherhitzungsschacht (9) ist mit einer vertikal bewegbaren Tür (1) versehen, welche einen beheizbaren Metallkörper (1a), eine am Metallkörper angeordnete thermische Isolierung (1b) und einen an der Isolierung außen vertikal angeordneten Absaugkanal (1c) aufweist. Der Absaugkanal geht im unteren Teil in einen nahezu horizontal verlaufenden Absaugkanal (1a) über und ist mit einer Absaugmündung (5) am Nacherhitzungsschacht versehen.
