    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid waste of fuel, to enhance fuel consumption efficiency and output, and to suppress discharge of harmful substances by performing complete combustion of fuel in combustion chambers of an engine, a boiler and the like.
    SOLUTION: A lipophilic inclusion compound formed by taking-in a guest compound made of a noble metal ion having catalysis in a host compound made of a hydrocarbon polymer is added to the fuel as an additive for fuel. The additive is produced by dissolving an ionically bonded compound of the noble metal ion having catalysis in an alcohol, adding and dissolving the hydrocarbon polymer to be the host compound into the resultant alcohol solution and including the noble metal ion as the guest compound by a prescribed means.
