PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a press-formed product, capable of enhancing a suppression effect against electrolyte leakage by further improvement in sealing performance, and a method for manufacturing a battery.SOLUTION: A collector plate 16 constituting a battery is formed by pressing the collector plate 16 from both sides thereof using a first press die 51 and a second press die 52 simultaneously. The first press die includes a ring-like projection 51b provided along a rear face of an annular sealing surface 16f and the second press die has a flat press-forming face 52a facing the sealing surface 16f of the collector plate 16.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery pack which facilitates necessary and sufficient suction of a cooling medium (air) for cooling a battery module and preferably prevents moisture and dust contained in outdoor air from intruding with a limited constitution.SOLUTION: A battery pack 10 has a housing case 11 housing a secondary battery and has a cooling function for the secondary battery housed in the housing case 11. The battery pack 10 has an induction cover 30 covering an opening, which is opened at a side surface of the housing case 11 for bringing a cooling medium in the housing case 11, so as to be spaced a predetermined distance apart from the case in the outward direction. Inlets 30A, 30B, 30C, and 30D, which bring the cooling medium in a space between the housing case 11 and the induction cover 30, are provided.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a battery using a positive electrode plate with a positive electrode collector part made by applying a lead member to a positive electrode substrate made of a foam metal plate, a battery prepared thereby, a method for manufacturing a pre-welded positive electrode plate for the battery, and a pre-welded positive electrode plate prepared thereby.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a battery with an electrode body having a positive electrode plate with a positive electrode collector part made by applying a lead member to a positive electrode substrate made of a foam metal plate, and a positive electrode collector plate welded to the positive electrode collector part of the positive electrode plate, comprises a pre-welded positive electrode plate forming step in which a pre-welded positive electrode plate being the positive electrode plate before welding is formed to have a projection projecting from a pre-welded positive electrode collector part being the positive electrode collector part before welding, and a welding step in which the positive electrode collector plate before welding is welded to the projection of the pre-welded positive electrode collector part of the pre-welded positive electrode plate. In the pre-welded positive electrode plate forming step, the projection of the pre-welded positive electrode plate is formed to satisfy S≤1.3W, where W is the width and S is the peripheral length.
