Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To start an internal combustion engine for an automobile possible to control to increase an intake air compression ratio before performing the cranking for facilitating a start of the internal combustion engine in the cold temperature condition as quickly as possible without generating vibration and increasing the intake compression ratio as long as capacity of a capacitor as a cranking power source allows. SOLUTION: An effective output of the capacitor for a cranking motor is the predetermined output threshold value showing the excellent capacity condition or more is judged, and when the effective output is more than the predetermined output threshold value, cranking is performed without increasing the intake air compression ratio independently of the engine temperature.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the overheating of a fuel injection valve for cylinder according to the operation of an internal combustion engine while outputting a requested power to a drive shaft even if the pressure of a fuel to the fuel injection valve for cylinder is not sufficient and the fuel injection valve cannot be used in a power output device having the internal combustion engine with the fuel injection valve for cylinder and a fuel injection valve for port and motors. SOLUTION: A fuel pressure Pf to the fuel injection valve for cylinder is less than a reference fuel pressure Pref, a vehicle requested power Pv* obtained based on a requested torque Tr* requested from the drive shaft or a power limit Pelim, whichever is smaller, is set to an engine requested power Pe* (S120, S130), and the engine and two motors are controlled so that the set engine requested power Pe* can be outputted from the engine and the requested torque Tr* can be outputted to the drive shaft while discharging a battery. Thus, while outputting the requested torque Tr* to the drive shaft, the rise of the tip temperature of the fuel injection valve for cylinder caused by operating the engine under high load can be suppressed. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable air-fuel ratio control which can make compatible both the reduction of NOx and the prevention of the generation of catalyst exhaust smell. SOLUTION: At the load operation of an engine for charging a battery during stopping, a target air-fuel ratio is made nearer to a rich side than a stoichiometric air-fuel ratio thereby carrying out the air-fuel ratio control (step S140), whereby an oxygen amount in a three-way catalyst is changed so as to be far from the generation condition of NOx, and the NOx in exhaust gas is reduced. Together with this, by carrying out the air-fuel control for a predetermined time of A second from a charge starting time (steps S130, S150), the generation of the catalyst exhaust smell due to the exhaustion of oxygen in the three-way catalyst can be prevented. Accordingly, in charging of the battery during stopping, the air-fuel ratio control which can make compatible both the reduction of NOx and the prevention of the generation of the catalyst exhaust smell is realized.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition timing control device of a hybrid car that prevents system down because of a deterioration of combustion during controlling of a catalyst warming-up after cold start. SOLUTION: When an output of a motor generator during controlling of a catalyst warming-up exceeds a limit value of motor output (NO in S110), the amount of lag (easbd) is reduced (S140). That is, when an engine torque becomes negative and the motor generator brings out battery power in order to control an engine speed to be a target value, the control device reduces the amount of lag. Accordingly, stable combustion is assured. Also, the device does not let the motor generator bring the battery power out by reducing the amount of lag, the power can be prevented from being taken out from the battery after cold start. The engine is operated increasing an output increasing speed in response to requirement, while limiting the output increasing speed within an increment ΔLelimit or an increase rate Kelimit, until the second stage catalytic converter reaches to a prescribed warming-up degree T2 after the first stage catalytic converter reaches to the prescribed warming-up degree, or until a time Co estimated as establishment of the condition therein is expected passes, and an amount of fuel is thereafter increased or decreased according to control calculation based on an input data to be operated.
