Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a sudden change of torque by carrying out a fuel increment correction in corresponding to exhaust gas temperatures, only when the engine load is higher that a target load. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit 10 calculates a basic fuel injection quantity in correspondence to the intake air quantity from an air flowmeter 3 and the number of revolutions from crank angle sensors 5, 6, and further carries out various corrections on the basis of detected values of a water temperature sensor 13, an O2 sensor 14, an exhaust gas temperature sensor 18, or the like. In other words, the engine load is judged from the basic fuel injection quantity, and only when it exceeds a prescribed load, a fuel increment correction value correspondent to the exhaust gas temperature, a correction factor correspondent to the number of revolutions, and a correction factor correspondent to the ratio of (intake air quantity/number of revolutions) are read out, and by multiplying these, an increment correction is carried out.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To set desired temperature to a higher value and make unnecessary fuel increment compensation so as not to be done, by starting the increment compensation of a fuel supply in the case where exhaust temperature is higher than the desired temperature, and releasing it when engine load becomes less than the specified value. CONSTITUTION:When engine load on the basis of a suction air quantity to be measured by an air flow meter 3 and an engine speed to be measured by a crank angle sensor 6 both exceed each of preset specified values, increment compensation for a fuel supply is performed, and an air-fuel ratio is controlled to richness. Afterward, even if exhaust temperature becomes less than the specified value, the increment compensation of the fuel supply is maintained till the engine load becomes less than the specified value. With this constitution, since desired exhaust temperature value performing the increment compensation can be set to a higher one, unnecessary fuel increment compensation will not be done, thus fuel consumption and output performance are improvable while improving reliablity in exhaust system parts.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce fuel consumption and to prevent overheat in an exhaust system, by incrementing fuel after a delay time being set to be longer for heavier engine load or higher engine rotation when the exhaust temperature is higher than a preset target level. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit 10 operates a basic fuel injection based on an intake air flow fed from an air flow meter 3 and rotations fed from crank angle sensors 5, 6. Then the basic fuel injection is corrected in many ways based on the values detected through a water temperature sensor 13, an O2 sensor 14, etc. so as to control a fuel injection valve 11. When the exhaust temperature detected through an exhaust temperature sensor 18 is higher than about 800 deg.C, the control circuit 10 sets an initial value based on the basic injection and the rotation. When an operating condition in same operating area continued for longer than a time interval set by a counter with the exhaust temperature being higher than about 800 deg.C fuel is incremented by about 30%.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve acceleration response through harmonization of demands, being contradic tory to each other, for prevention of leak of an ignition system and an increase in a super charging pressure, by a method wherein detection is effected during a given period commencing with the starting of rapid acceleration, and during that time, a supercharging pressure is set to a low value. CONSTITUTION:The supercharging pressure control device of an internal combustion engine 1 sets a supercharging pressure depending upon the operating state of the engine by means of a supercharging pressure setting means 3. By means of the set supercharging pressure and a supercharging pressure produced by a supercharger 2, the supercharging pressure control means 3 opens and closes the bypass valve and the like of the supercharger 2 to control the supercharging pressure to a given value. In which case, when an acceleration state detecting means 5 detects a state right after acceleration running of the engine, a super charging pressure set value, set by the supercharging pressure setting means 4, is connected to a low value by means of a supercharging pressure set value correcting means 6. This constitution harmonizes demands, being contradictory to each other, for an increase in a supercharging pressure and for prevention of leak of an ignition circuit due to an increase in an ignition demand voltage during the initial stage of acceleration, and enables sharp improvement of acceleration response.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable the optimum supercharging pressure in response to load fluctuation to be secured by enabling a waste gate valve within a passage detouring the turbine of a turbocharger to be controlled in response to the rate of change in engine speed following the fluctuation of engine load. CONSTITUTION:The captioned device has a structure where a waste gate valve 7 is interposed into a by-pass passage 6 provided so as to detour the turbine 2 of a turbocharger 1, and the opening and closing of said valve 7 is controlled by a valve opening and closing means 31. The operation of the valve opening and closing means 31 is controlled by way of air pressure which is produced by an air-pressure controlling means 32 in response to engine speed detected by an engine speed sensor 16. In this case, when engine speed is varied following the fluctuation of engine load, an air-pressure correcting means 33 is provided for correcting the air pressure in the air-pressure controlling means 32, and accordingly, the optimum engine performance can be obtained all the time.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve accelerating and operating performance by effecting asynchronous fuel injection when the slow opening action of a throttle valve or the quick opening action to a minute opening is taken during a comparatively short period of time immediately after the throttle valve has been quickly closed. CONSTITUTION:Opening of a throttle valve A is detected by a throttle valve opening detecting means B, then the time for quick closing of the throttle valve is detected by a throttle valve quick closing detecting means C based on the detected opening. When the throttle valve is detected to be quickly closed, at least either a slow opening action of the throttle valve effected within a specified period of time from the time of quick closing or a quick opening action of the throttle valve A to a minute opening is detected by a detecting means D. And when the slow opening action or the quick opening action to the minute opening is detected by detection thereof, asynchronous fuel injection is effected by an asynchronous fuel injection means E for improving accelerating performance while misfiring of an engine is being prevented.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To heat up quickly catalyst which is provided in an exhaust system, with the provision of the improved running performance by making a correction in reduction to a lag angle in an ignition timing when an air conditioner driven by an engine is in operation in a device where the ignition timing is delayed in angle to meet a decrease in engine temperature. CONSTITUTION:When an ignition timing of ignition plugs 7 is controlled in an engine 1 which is provided with catalyst (not shown) for purification of exhaust gas in an exhaust system including an exhaust pipe 15, a lag angle which is correspondent to a decrease in engine temperature detected by a water temperature sensor 22, is computed first by an ECU 50, and the ignition is effected by a spark retard control based on the computed lag angle. In this case, the operating condition of an air conditioner 26 is also detected by an air conditioning switch 27, and a correction is made to the above said lag angle so as to make the angle smaller by that much corresponding to an increment of a accelerator pedal stroke to cover the power which is consumed by the air conditioner when the air conditioner 26 is in operation. With this, the desired end can be achieved.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent an engine stall and the like from taking place even if a discrepant condition and an error in detection are found in sensors by restricting a reduction in adjustment for the air volume required for an idling operation by a guard value which is renewed at the time for other than the idling operation. CONSTITUTION:An engine 1 is judged to be in a normal idling condition by an electronic control circuit 20 based on the output from a car speed sensor 23 and a throttle position sensor 11 when a car speed remains at a speed lower than a specified one with a throttle valve fully opened. When the engine 1 is judged to be out of a normal idling condition, an open-loop control is effected to an idling speed control valve ISCV 13 which controls an idling speed by controlling the opening area of a bypass passage 12. In this case, a learning value is placed in a storage as a guard value which determines the lowest value for the adjustment of the ISCV 13. And a reduction of the learning value which is renewed of the adjustment value of the ISCV 13, is restricted by he guard value only when the engine (1) speed detected by an engine speed sensor 18 at a time of idling exceeds the upper limit of a target one.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve a restarting characteristic at the time of high temperature in particular, by altering the specified engine speed on the basis of an engine temperature, in case of a controller which increases a suction air quantity at the time of engine starting and, when the engine speed goes beyond the specified one, decreases this increment portion. CONSTITUTION:In case of a controller bearing the above caption which is provided with a suction air quantity regulating device M3 constituted of installing a control valve in the bypass pipe line installed in a suction passage of an internal combustion engine 1 so as to bypass a throttle valve, it increases a suction air quantity at the time of starting and, when the engine speed detected by an engine speed detecting device M2 goes beyond the specified one, controls the suction air quantity regulating device M3 so as to decrease this increment portion. In this case, this specified engine speed is made so as to be altered by an altering device M5 according to the engine temperature detected by an engine temperature detecting device M4. That is to say, at the time of high engine temperature, the specified engine speed is made to go up with engine temperature rise, and at the low temperature, reversely the specified engine speed is made so as to go down with the engine temperature rise.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent fuel overrichness from occurring without fail, by controlling less fuel than a fuel quantity to be set according to a driving state so as to be fed for injection in the case where a sudden decrement state in charging efficiency and an engine speed stable state in an internal combustion engine both are detected. CONSTITUTION:At the time of driving an internal combustion engine 1 provided with a supercharger 2, first of all, charging efficiency GR in suction air is found at an electronic control circuit 14 inputting each detection signal out of driving state detecting sensors including a turning angle sensor 21, an air flow meter 26, etc. This charging efficiency GR is found as the ratio between weight of the fresh air inhaled in a cylinder 20 under the atmosphereic state and weight of the fresh air accounted for stroke volume under the standard atmospheric state. And, When the charging efficiency GR is more than the specified rate and more than the specified time as well as when a sudden decrement state in load to be varied from the large value than 1 to the smaller value than 1 as compared with the specified value and an engine speed stable state are detected, a fuel injection valve 15 is controlled to spray less fuel than a fuel quantity to be set according to a driving state.
