PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite additive for concrete mortar wherein mixing workability is improved by preventing scattering of silica fumes when mixing with cement, and a cement composition using this additive. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an inorganic filler which improves, by being incorporated into a vinyl chloride resin or a polyolefin resin, the mechanical properties and weatherability of a resin composition thereof, and to provide the resin composition containing the inorganic filler and a manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: The inorganic filler that is surface-treated with 12-hydroxystearic acid or a salt thereof and the resin composition containing the inorganic filler are provided. The manufacturing method for the inorganic filler comprises the steps of: (a) wet grinding an inorganic filler to obtain an aqueous slurry; (b) heating and dissolving 12-hydroxystearic acid or the salt thereof in ammonia water; and agitating and mixing the aqueous slurry obtained in the step (a) and the solution obtained in the step (b). PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant wire covering material which is capable of securing long-term reliability and preventing discoloration due to ageing and discoloration caused by NOx, has improved acid resistance, generates no hydrogen halide gas in combustion and is endurable for long term use. SOLUTION: This wire covering material contains (1) a polyolefin, (2) a phenolic antioxidant and (3) magnesium hydroxide of which the surface is treated with a water-soluble cationic polymer. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide calcium carbonate slurry capable of providing a coating layer having high concealability; and to provide coated paper having a coating layer containing the calcium carbonate, and high concealability.SOLUTION: There are provided calcium carbonate slurry having an average particle diameter of 0.5 μm or more and 1.5 μm or less according to a laser scattering method, and a gradient coefficient (D30/D70) of 40 or more (where Dx represents an equivalent sphere diameter being finer in x wt.% of a particle relative to this diameter); and coated paper having a coating layer containing the calcium carbonate.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wet milling aid which enables to obtain a particulate heavy calcium carbonate dispersion having sufficiently low initial viscosity and excellent viscosity stability with time. SOLUTION: The wet milling aid contains a copolymer (A) composed of 0-20 mol% of a (meth)acrylic acid unit, 50-100 mol% of an alkali metal (meth)acrylate unit and 0-30 mol% of an alkaline earth metal (meth)acrylate unit, and a copolymer (B) composed of 30-75 mol% of a (meth)acrylic acid unit, 0-70 mol% of an alkali metal (meth)acrylate unit and 0-30 mol% of an alkaline earth metal (meth)acrylate unit.
