    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commutator and a manufacturing method therefor for supporting respective segments, using a simple structure. SOLUTION: This commutator 50 has eight segments formed at equal angular intervals and a stationary part 61 fixing the respective segments. The respective segments are isolated electrically from each other by a radial groove 71. Each segment has a contact member 51 and a terminal member 56. The contact member 51 is formed of carbon. The side of the contact member 51 opposed to the terminal member 56 is formed in a stepped shape, to form a first step 52, and a second step 53 from the center thereof. The terminal member 56 forms a through-hole 58 whiches pass through in the board thickness direction. The stationary part 61 formed of thermosetting resin is filled in the through-hole 58 and a clearance 200 formed between the contact member 51 and the terminal member 56, and covers an inner peripheral side surface 54 and an outer peripheral side surface 55.

    SOLUTION: In a fuel passage of a marine engine, fuel pumps 1, 2 are connected to an engine main body in series, an intake port 3 of the fuel pump 1 is connected to a fuel tank by a fuel pipe, and a delivery port 4 of the fuel pump 2 is connected to a fuel injection valve through a pressure regulator and the like. Namely, a hollow separator 6 is screwed around a delivery port 5 of the fuel pump 1, and a right end opening of the separator 6 is closed by a cover having a short pipe shaped nipple. One end of a connecting pipe 15 is connected to the nipple of the separator 6 through a rubber pipe 16 and the like, and the other end of the connecting pipe 15 is connected to the intake port 18 of the fuel pump 2 through a rubber pipe 17 and the like.

This control permits an immediate restart of the engine 3. This regulation supplies the engine 3 with a quantity of fuel required on the engine side with no increase in discharge of a fuel pump 2 to whereby hold the fuel pump 2 small-sized.
