    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enhance productivity by press-fitting a base end of a pipe, which is connected to a traction member and inserted into a hollow piston rod, into a press-fit hole formed in an axial center portion of a bottom member continuous to a bottom end of a cylinder, into which the piston rod is inserted, via a seal member so as to obtain a gas sealing plug. CONSTITUTION:A diameter of a base end 3b of a pipe 3 is enlarged. The base end 3b is press-fitted into a press-fit hole 5a formed in an axial center portion of a bottom member 5 via a seal member 8. The seal member 8 is inserted into an annular groove 3c formed in the outer periphery in the center of the base end 3b. The pipe 3 is inserted into a hollow portion of a hollow piston rod 2 inserted into a cylinder 1, and is connected to a traction means disposed outside via a traction member 4 so as to insert the hollow piston rod 2 into the cylinder 1. With this constitution, gas is sealed into the cylinder 1 through a clearance formed between the base end 3b and the press-fit hole 5a before the base end 3b of the pipe 3 is press-fitted into the press-fit hole 5a.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a specified pinion and teeth from uneven wear and improve durability by fitting the outer peripheral surface of a supporter in the inner peripheral surface of a sun gear through a spline and fitting the supporter onto the outer peripheral surface of a shaft-like member. CONSTITUTION:A sun gear 11 is mounted on a connecting shaft 6 by a supporter 13 provided on the inner peripheral surface of the sun gear. The supporter 13 having a circular section has an outer peripheral spline 14 fitting a spline 12 formed on the inner peripheral surface of sun gear 11 and an inner peripheral spline 16 fitting on the outer periphery of the connecting shaft 6. Thus, even if the diameter of the sun gear 11 is enlarged, the supporter 13 fixes the sun gear 11 to the connecting shaft 6, so that the thickness of the sun gear 11 can be thinned. Also, even if the number of pinions 4 is increased, all pinions 4 can mesh normally through the elastic deformation of the sun gear 11.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a speed change shift of forward five or sixspeed and reverse one-speed by combining a single pinion type planetary gear mechanism with a double-pinion type planetary gear mechanism respectively through three clutches and brakes. CONSTITUTION:A single pinion type planetary gear mechanism 10 and a double- pinion type planetary gear mechanism 20 connect sun gears 11 and 21 by a connecting member 26 and a ring gear 13 to a carrier 25 by a connecting member 27. And by selectively engaging clutches C1-C3 and brakes B1-B3, a speed change shift of forward 5-speed and reverse 1-speed is formed between an input shaft IS and an output shaft OS. That is, the speed change shift obtains the first speed by turning on the clutch C1 and the brake B1, second speed by C2, B2, third speed by C2, B3, fourth speed by C2, C3 and the fifth speed by C3, B3 while the reverse shift by C1, B2. Thus obtaining the forward 5-speed or 6-speed and the reverse 1-speed with a small amount of change of speed change ratio between each speed change shift, the improvement of ride-in comfortableness can be promoted.

Here, the first and second sun gear, the Ravigneaux carrier, and the sun gear 41, 42, 46, 31 are always connected to an input shaft 10 through a clutch C1-C4, and the Ravigneaux ring gear 45 to an output shaft 20 through the carrier 34. Therefore, its assembly can be made easy and its length in the direction can be shortened, and a desired speed change ratio and a good balance among respective speed change rations can be obtained.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To check rotation of a sun gear of a double pinion planetary gear mechanism by one-way clutch and to enable speed change for 5-stage forward by using a single pinion planetary gear mechanism and a double pinion planetary gear mechanism for transmission for an automobile. CONSTITUTION:Turning force is transmitted to a counter ring gear 43 for transmitting driving force to an output shaft 45 from a planetary pinion 17 of the first planetary gear mechanism 13 and the outer periphery side planetary pinion 22 of the second planetary gear mechanism 14. When a carrier 25 of the gear mechanism 13 is fixed and power is input from a sun gear 15 to operate the gear mechanism 13, it becomes backward stage. In case of inputting power from the sun gear 15, if a carrier 25 is rotated to operate the gear mechanism 14, it becomes the first speed forward. On the contrary, if power is input from a sun gear 19 and a carrier 4 is fixed, it becomes the second speed forward. In this case, if the sun gear 15 is fixed, it becomes the third speed forward. If power is input from the sun gear 19 and the carrier 24, it becomes the fourth speed forward, and if power is input from the carriers 24, 25, it becomes the fifth speed forward.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To permit a shock caused by a speed change and engine racing due to timing control to be eliminated, by effecting a speed change by bringing a first or second auxiliary clutch into a semi-engagement condition while keeping a main clutch in an engaging condition. CONSTITUTION:When a speed change mode is selected in traveling, a CPU 142 causes a main clutch 12 to be engaged at all times and an auxiliary clutch 58 which is not engaged is brought into a semi-engagement condition in response to an up-shift command so that output torque from a transmission 14 reduces to increase a load on an engine. As a result, a rotational speed Ne reduces and a sleeve 94 moves to a neutral position at a reduction start point where a rate of change of the rotational speed is smaller than a predetermined value -alpha. Then, when the speed Ne reduces to become a rotational speed wherein a second speed can be obtained at a present automobile speed, torque transmitted at a first gear position reduces and the sleeve 94 moves to a neutral position. next, when the speed Ne reduces to a target speed N1, the sleeve 94 is positioned at the side of a gear 40 and rotation of an intermediate shaft 31 is synchronized with that of a gear 40 by a synchronizing device 88 to cause the sleeve 94 to be engaged with the gear 40, whereby a gear position of the second speed is established.

A piston member 15 forming a press means is interposed between the third outer shell 11c and the annular plate shell 11d with liquid seal to the inner circumferential side of the third outer shell 11c and slidably in the axial direction. Thus, the volume of a fluid chamber is increased or decreased by the slide of the annular plate 11d so that the small shifting quantity of the annular plate 11d is enough.
