    Abstract: PURPOSE:To secure proper combustion while decreasing a pumping loss in a four-cycle internal combustion engine. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust valve 7 is opened up to the middle term of an intake stroke. As a result, exhaust gas flows back to the inside of a combustion chamber 4 during the first half of an intake stroke, and thus a pumping loss can be decreased because negative pressure inside the combustion chamber 4 is decreased. An exhaust port 8 is formed in a herical manner, and the exhaust gas flowing back toward the combustion chamber 4 is placed in its turning motion inside the exhaust port 8. The exhaust gas continues to make turning motion around the cylinder axial line after it flows in the inside of the combustion chamber 4, and descends together with a piston 2. As a result, exhaust gas Y is collected on the top face of the piston 2 in the last half of the intake stroke, and air-mixture Z is collected in the top space of the combustion chamber 4, and the air-mixture is ignited by an ignition plug.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To secure both satisfactory ignition with combustion accompanied and high output power while the blowby of fuel is being prevented by providing both a fuel injection valve which ignites fuel after an intake valve, an exhaust valve and a scavenge port have been closed respectively, and a scavenge control valve opening at the time of high load respectively. CONSTITUTION:A two cycle internal combustion engine includes an intake valve 6 and an exhaust valve 8, and is concurrently formed with a scavenge port 10 driven in such a way as to be opened/closed in the inner wall surface 11 of a cylinder 3 by a piston 2. And the scavenge port 10 together with an intake port 7 is connected with a mechanical super charger 13 via a throttle valve 12. In this case, a scavenge control valve 15 which is controlled to be opened/closed by an actuator 14 is arranged within the scavenge port 10. In addition, a fuel injection valve 16 is arranged in the inner wall surface 11 of a cylinder head at the opposite side of an ignition plug 5 with respect to the intake valve 6. This constitution allows both satisfactory ignition with combustion accompanied at the time of low load and high output power at the time of high load to be secured respectively while the blowby of fuel is being prevented.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent any blow-by of fuel from occurring as well as to secure good loop scavenging by installing a mask wall for covering an opening being formed between an intake valve and its valve seat, while spraying the fuel in the orthogonal direction with a line connecting the intake valve to an exhaust valve. CONSTITUTION:A concave groove 5 is formed in an inner wall surface 3a of a cylinder head 3, thereby forming a part 3b constituting a bottom wall surface of this concave groove 5 and a part 3c protruding toward a combustion chamber 4 from this part 3b. Then, these parts 3b and 3c are connected to each other via a peripheral wall 8 of the concave groove 5, while an intake valve 6 and an exhaust valve 7 are set up each at both sides of the concave groove 5. In addition, the peripheral wall 8 is made up of a mask wall 8a or the like extending in circular form along a peripheral edge of this intake valve 6. Moreover, a pair of fuel injection valves 13, 14 are set up in an inlet port 10, while fuel is sprayed from these fuel injection valves 13, 14 in the orthogonal direction with a line connecting the intake valve 6 to the exhaust valve 7 at a nearer side to this intake valve.

CONSTITUTION:In light load range of an engine, an intake air control valve 16 is closed, and on the other hand, an exhaust gas control valve 34 is opened. Then, exhaust valves 31a, 31b are opened according to the descendent motion of a piston 3, to blow the exhaust gas toward exhaust ports 32a, 32b, respectively, and this exhaust gas is blown back to a combustion chamber 2. At this time, a swirl of exhaust gas is formed by the eccentric port 32b and a mask 5, and at the same time, the lower part of the swirl is guided to a slanting recessed part 8 of the top face of the piston 3. On the other hand, fresh air passed through a throttle valve 13 and a supercharger 14, is led slowly into the combustion chamber 2 through an intake valve 21a, and gathered near a sparking plug 4 on the cylinder head 6 side. In this way, the fresh air on the cylinder head 6 side and the exhaust gas on the piston 3 side, are stratified, and consequently, the ignitionability is improved.
