    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably carry an oil between a crank shaft and a main bearing to improve lubrication performance and startability.SOLUTION: A journal 20 of the crank shaft 18 is rotatably supported by the main bearing 22. The oil is supplied to a sliding surface between the journal 20 and the main bearing 22 through a lubricating oil passage 30 and an oil hole 40, and the oil is kept by an oil carrying mechanism 42. The oil carrying mechanism 42 includes an annular protrusion 44 provided on an inner peripheral surface of the main bearing 22 on both axial sides of the oil hole 40 and an annular recess 46 provided on an outer peripheral surface of the journal 20. Thus, the oil can be prevented from flowing out from the sliding surface while an engine 10 stops. Therefore, high lubrication performance can be secured from the beginning of the start when restarting the engine, and the startability can be improved by inhibiting friction.
