    摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing 4-hydroxybutyl acrylate, which can efficiently produce 4-hydroxybutyl acrylate by transesterifying an alkyl acrylate with 1,4-butanediol and further can efficiently recover the transesterification catalyst to be used in the transesterification reaction.SOLUTION: There is disclosed a method for producing 4-hydroxybutyl acrylate characterized in that 1,4-butanediol is transesterified with an alkyl acrylate in the presence of dialkyltin oxide using a transesterification catalyst containing the dialkyltin oxide, whose alkyl groups each have 4-18 carbon atoms, and the amount of the dialkyltin oxide, whose alkyl groups each have 4-18 carbon atoms, is adjusted to 0.00001-0.01 mol per mol of alkyl acrylate.
