Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection communication method in which format compatibility is secured and security is improved in a CAN.SOLUTION: The protection communication method for protecting data received/transmitted on the basis of a CAN communication protocol includes: generating a MAC (message authentication code) (S46); encrypting the MAC and transmission data (S48); storing the encrypted MAC, serial numbers, and a work key ID in an identifier expansion area of an expansion format in the CAN communication protocol, storing a standard format compatible message ID in an identifier base area of the expansion format, and storing the encrypted transmission data in the data area of the expansion format (S49); and transmitting the message in the expansion format (S49).

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power line communication system capable of performing communication with sufficient accuracy by properly selecting a carrier frequency of a signal.SOLUTION: A power line communication system comprises: a power line connected to a power supply; and a plurality of communication means for performing communication by using the power line as a communication line. The plurality of communication means: transmit a quality evaluation signal composed of sequential multiple signals having different carrier frequencies added to a signal in transmitting the signal to another communication means through the power line; perform signal quality evaluation of the quality evaluation signal for each carrier frequency in receiving the signal from another communication means through the power line; and transmit the signal by adopting a carrier frequency having higher evaluation prior to a carrier frequency having lower evaluation in the signal quality evaluation, in transmitting the signal to the other communication means through the power line.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system which is capable of automatically realizing network configuration in order to flexibly respond to a change in LAN configuration.SOLUTION: A representative communication device sends a message for LAN configuration realization to its own all ports (step S1) and realizes existence of another representative communication device of another group and a connection port based on a message received from another representative communication device (step S2). On the other hand, the representative communication device also receives a message from a slave communication device in its group (step S3), and updates a group list (step S4). The representative communication device determines whether another representative communication device in another group and the slave communication device in its group are connected to the same network based on a reception result (step S5).

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the computational cost of an entire system as much as possible by providing a technique which detects a motion vector showing the direction and distance of movement of a target pixel between frames of a moving image by a simple method. SOLUTION: In an image processing system, such as the JPEG 2000 format, wherein two-dimensional wavelet conversion is performed while processing image data, the two-dimensional wavelet conversion is performed for a frame image as a processing object. A motion vector detection by using the Lucas-Kanade method is executed on the basis of an LL component, an HL component, an LH component of a current frame, which are obtained after the processing, and an LL component of a preceding frame. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network system for vehicles which has simple constitution, is easily installed on vehicles, and does not generate communication trouble such as ringing. SOLUTION: A plurality of ECUs 10 mounted on the vehicle are connected to a converter 20 in a star shape through optical fibers 40 to constitute a star type network. Further, a plurality of converters 20 are mounted on the vehicle 1 to constitute a plurality of star type networks, and the converters 20 are interconnected using metal cables 30. Each of the converters 20 converts an optical signal from the ECU 10 into an electric signal and supplies it to other converters 20, and also converts an electric signal from another converter 20 into an optical signal and supplies it to connected ECUs 10. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vehicle-mounted information communication apparatus in which power consumption or communication cost is reduced by performing transmission processing of vehicle information only when it is absolutely required after ignition off. SOLUTION: A vehicle-mounted apparatus 10 transmitting remote confirmation information and operation negligence information, as vehicle information, to a center 14 through a DCM 20 after ignition off and accessory off of a vehicle, is provided with: a sub-microcomputer 28 having a function for judging whether transmission of collected vehicle information to the center 14 is required and consuming relatively little power for accomplishing its own function; and a main microcomputer 26 having a function for requesting transmission of the vehicle information to the center 14 for the DCM 20 and consuming relatively much power for accomplishing its own function. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manual outputting device, a manual providing device and a manual outputting system for efficiently outputting a manual related with a prescribed function available by a user to the user to such extents that the user is not bothered. SOLUTION: A function 24 available by a vehicle crew records use frequency actually used in the past in a storage device 22 mounted on a vehicle. Then, when the function 24 is selectively designated and started by the vehicle crew, and the use frequency of the function 24 is not more than a predetermined value, a manual related with the function 24 is automatically display-outputted to a manual outputting part 28, and when the use frequency of the function 24 exceeds a predetermined value, the display output of the manual related with the function 24 to the manual output part 28 is regulated.
