    SOLUTION: The composting method includes a step of forming a mixture raw material, incorporating into a raw material to be composted, which is prepared by adding actinomycetes to organic waste, with paper making sludge containing separately cellulose and lignin in an amount equivalent to 15-60 wt.% of the raw material to be composted and a step of ventilating the mixture raw material to promote composting.

SOLUTION: This granulating material for plant cultivation is a sludge cake discharged in the manufacturing process of a wood chip product and has a high content of nitrogen component. Further, this granurating material (2mm to 10mm) is usable as a mixture with the soil, and furthermore, the granulating material may contain at least one of sawdust, peat moss or a resin foam. This sludge cake, as an example, contains moisture of 88.1% and a solid content of 11.9%. Further, it contains an organic component of 87% and an inorganic component of 13% in the solid component, respectively.
