    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mixing agitator and a mixing-agitating method that can stably supply slurry at a high flow rate with uniformly mixed foam and reduce the amount of foam to be supplied to the slurry. SOLUTION: The mixing agitator (10) includes a case (20), a rotary disk (32), a slurry discharge port (45), a slurry feed pipe (46) and a hollow connecting section (47). A foam supply port (41) is disposed in a predetermined position of an annular wall to supply foam to the slurry immediately before flowing into the slurry discharge port. The slurry discharge port is provided with a blade (51) for forming a slit. The slurry and foam are mixed in the slurry discharge port. The foam is not substantially subjected to agitation impact of the mixing agitator, and the amount of loss of the foam is reduced.
