摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal chelate complex for forming an oxidation catalyst, in more detail, a long-lived macrocyclic oxidation catalyst which can catalyze oxidation required by a peroxide and a primary oxidizer related to the peroxide. SOLUTION: A stubborn chelate complex is obtained by producing a large cyclic tetradentate-having compound containing nitrogen atoms and then complexing the compound with a metal ion, preferably a transition metal ion, to form the corresponding chelate complex. SOLUTION: This derivative is expressed in formula I (A is phenyl, quinolyl, etc., W is vinylene, etc.,; R to R are each a carboxyl, cyano, an alkyloxycarbonyl, etc.) and its salts, e.g. 4(2-quinolylmethoxy)-benzaldehyde. The compound of formula I is obtained by carrying out a reaction of an aldehyde of formula II and an acetophenone of formula III in a solvent such as methanol, etc., in the presence of a base such as NaOH or KOH, etc. The compound is useful for prevention and medical treatment of asthma, allergic rhinitis, dermatitis allergica, allergic inflammation of the conjunctiva, erythema urticatum, trichophytosis, rheumatism, inflammatory colitis, cerebral ischemia, apoplexia cerabri, etc. The daily dose is 1 to 1,000mg/adult administered in one to several times of oral dosing or parenteral dosing.
