    摘要: PURPOSE:To make possible the molding of a container with a simple device and in a short time by a method wherein the peripheral part of a blank is engaged with the stepped part in a cavity having the upper part equal to the external diameter of the flange part of the container and the lower part equal to the external diameter of the barrel wall part and the blank is compressed with the upper and lower plungers. CONSTITUTION:A blank 10 is mounted on a cylindrical part 3a of an upper cavity and the upper plunger 1 is dropped and forced into the upper cavity 3a. The upper and the lower plunger 1, 2 are dropped into the lower cavity 3b as they push the central part 10a. At the former stage of dropping, the pressure is kept high, the amount of material forced out from between both plungers is increased, the barrel wall part 5'b'charges the material into the space between the inside 3b' of the cavity and the side 1b of the plunger. When the plungers continue to fall with reduced pressure after the former stage, the material forced out from between both plungers decreases and the barrel wall part 5'b' is stretched by tension. After the hollow molded body 5' is provided, if the plunger 1 is lifted and the plug 8 is dropped, a hollow body 5' can be molded by blow molding of compressed air without pinching the peripheral edge part of the blank.

CONSTITUTION:Molding material P that is stretched and mounted airtightly on the surface 30a of a mold 30 after heated and softened is brought into contact with the mold at the projection 31, etc. of the mold surface 30a and separated therefrom at a groove portion 32. The portion of the molding material P in contact with the mold surface 30a is cooled as compared with portions out of contact with mold surfaces 30a such as groove portions 32, etc. Therefore, portions out of contact with the mold surface 30a such as the groove portions 32 of the molding material P, etc. is higher in temperature than the portion in contact and vacuum stretchability also is large. As a result, in vacuum-formed surface skin 20, circumferential portions 20a, 20a facing the groove portions 32 of the mold 30 is formed thin, lack firmness as compared with other portions of the surface skin 20 and become remarkably flexible. Accordingly, adhesive workability of the skin 20 on the base 10 is improved exceedingly.
