PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet post process device with a stapler function adequate for high-speed printing. SOLUTION: The sheet post process device comprises a conveying path for conveying image-formed sheets to a stapler mechanism, a sensor installed on the conveying path for detecting the travel positions of the sheets, and a tray on which the sheets are stacked to be bound. In a conveying path outlet for discharging the sheets from the conveying path to the tray, a rotatable cam is installed which is spirally shaped. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a finisher improving the stack alignment property of a sheet bundle, the space saving property, and achieving cost reduction and increase in the amount of stacked sheets. SOLUTION: This device includes a substantially horizontal stack tray 4, rear-end aligning means 70 for aligning rear ends of sheets in a bundle on the tray 4, control means for controlling an operation of the means 70 for aligning the sheet bundle at an upstream position of the tray 4. The stack alignment property of the sheet bundle on the tray 4 is improved by placing the tray 4 substantially in a horizontal position, and increasing a stack space to increase the number of stacked sheets and aligning rear ends of the sheets in the bundle with simple structure. PURPOSE:To prevent adhesion of paper sheet to the discharge port due to charging thus to eliminate curling or jamming by arranging a paper sheet shake down member operatable in the direction of self-weight falling of paper sheet at the discharge port of paper sheet. CONSTITUTION:The paper sheet 9 is discharged from a roller 8 into a stacker 4 while lifting the shake down board 15 around the upper fulcrum 14. The paper sheet 9 will try to adhere to the endface of stacker 4 through electrostatic attraction 16, but separated forcefully through the self-weight of said board 15 and stacked in the stacker 4. The paper sheet 9 stacked in the stacker 4 is blocked from self-weight falling because of the electrostatic repellency of the stacked paper sheet 6 and collapsed forcefully through the self-weight of said board 15 to be stacked in the stacker 4. Consequently, adhesion of the paper sheet 9 to the discharge port in the stacker can be prevented.

PURPOSE:To simplify a mechanism and reduce its cost, by providing a paper discharge roller of semicircular cross section and by bringing the roller into contact with cut-off paper only after its cutting-off. CONSTITUTION:A paper discharge guide plate 20 and a paper discharge roller 19 of semicircular cross section are provided downstream to a cutter 14 for cutting off wound recording paper 11. The paper discharge guide plate 20 is placed so that the paper discharge roller 19 comes into contact with the plate when the roller is rotated. When the wound recording paper 11 is conveyed in the direction of an arrow (a) by a paper feed roller 12 and the cutter 14 is turned in the direction of an arrow (b), the paper discharge roller 19 of semicircular cross section is turned in the direction of an arrow (c) so that a piece of recording paper 15 cut off by the cutter 14 is pinched between the paper discharge roller and the guide plate 20. As a result, the cut-off piece of recording paper 15 is conveyed in the direction of the arrow (a) and put in a recording paper storage section 16. The paper discharge roller 19 is then returned to the original position.

At this time, at the miler 8 presses the tail end 7a of the sheet 7 approximately tangentially to the lower paper discharge roller 6, the friction between the tail end 7a of the sheet 7 and the lower paper discharge roller 6 increases. As a result, following the rotation of the lower paper discharging roller 6, the tail end 7a of the sheet 7 is pushed forward and the sheet 7 is allowed to drop on the tray 2.

PURPOSE:To properly arrange the end faces of papers uniformly, and to make sure the discharge of the papers to a discharge part, by constituting a paper limiting member for limiting the end face of the paper discharged to the discharge part, swingably, with the use of a swingable member which may be rotated in unison with a discharge roller. CONSTITUTION:A copying paper P processed in a copying machine is transferred by a conveyor belt 15, and is changed in its transferring direction about 180 deg. by a guide plate 13 so that the paper P is moved toward a discharge roller 17, thereby the paper P is pinched between the conveyor belt 15 and the discharge roller 17. In this stage, a paper limiting plate 21 which is attached to the frame 20 of a discharge part 2 rotatably around a pivot 22, is swung by an eccentric cam 19 which eccentrically rotates in accociation with the rotation of the discharge roller 24. This swinging movement causes the trailing end of the paper P to be kicked by the paper limiting plate 21 so that the paper P is surely transferred to the end face 14a of a discharged paper tray 14. Thereby, papers P are properly arranged at the end face 14 of the tray 14, and as well are surely stored in the tray 14.
