    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic steel sheet having an insulating coated film excellent in thermal conductivity, and to provide a method of manufacturing the electromagnetic steel sheet having the insulating coated film.
    SOLUTION: The electromagnetic steel sheet has the insulating coated film made by mixing and dispersing 5 to 40 pts.mass of silicone powder having an average particle size of 2.0 to 15.0 μm to 100 pts.mass of solid content of a binder comprising a metal phosphate and a specified organic resin, or colloidal silica and a specified resin, on the surface of the electromagnetic steel sheet. In the manufacture of a stacked iron core, the electromagnetic steel sheet is heated upon the coating with varnish or powder, thereby, thermal conductivity between the electromagnetic steel sheets is improved and accordingly, such a problem that the thermal conductivity in the stacking direction is low can be solved.
