摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stabilized lithium metal powder having improved air and solvent stability and having a longer storage life; and an anode for a battery using the same.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a lithium metal powder protected by a substantially continuous layer of a polymer. The layer of the polymer is prepared by contacting the lithium metal with the polymer at a temperature between the melting point of the lithium metal and the melting point of the polymer. Such a substantially continuous polymer layer provides improved protection effect compared to, e.g., a lithium metal subjected to typical CO-passivation.

摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method capable of being installed on the ground and simply and efficiently monitoring and exterminating activity of insects.
SOLUTION: The apparatus for monitoring and/or exterminating insects comprises a first encircling body connected to a second encircling body kept in a form in which the most part extends beyond the first encircling body. The method for monitoring and/or exterminating insects comprises using the apparatus. The disturbance of insect bait in an insect base is reduced and various selection is made possible by installing the insect base on the ground adjacently to an area believed to be damaged by propagation of insects. As a result, activity of insects such as termite can efficiently be monitored and exterminated.

摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve coulombic efficiency, and cycle characteristics and storage characteristics at high temperatures, and reduce dissolving speed of transition metal in an electrolyte, by heat-treating a positive electrode in the liquid nonaqueous electrolyte at a specific temperature under conditions of discharging, and forming a thin passivated film with lithium-ion conductivity on the positive electrode. SOLUTION: Under conditions of discharging, a positive electrode is heat- treated in a liquid nonaqueous electrolyte at 50 to 120 deg.C, preferably 65 to 75 deg.C, for about 1 hour to 2 months, whereby a thin passivated film having lithium-ion conductivity is formed on the positive electrode. Lithium-manganese spinel is preferable as a material for the positive electrode, a liquid nonaqueous electrolyte including LiPF6 , LiClO4 , etc., dissolved in an organic solvent is desirable as the electrolyte, and propylene carbonate or the like is used as the organic solvent. The passivated film includes a polymer electrolyte interface(PEI) between the positive electrode material and the electrolyte, a solid electrolyte interface(SEI), or a combination thereof, and is permeable to lithium but impermeable to the electrolyte.

摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an interlayer compd. excellent in specific capacity, cycling performance and stability, etc., which can be used for a cathode material of an electric cell, by mixing source compds. containing transition metals, dopant elements and lithium in the objective stoichiometric proportion, calcining the mixture in the presence of oxygen to produce an interlayer compd., and cooling by a controlling method. SOLUTION: Source compds. containing M, [A] and Li are mixed in the stoichiometric amts. corresponding to LiMy-x [A]x Oz or My-x [A]x Oz , wherein M is a transition metal; x and y satisfy 0 2. The mixture is calcined at 500 to 1000 deg.C in the presence of oxygen to produce an interlayer compd., which is then cooled by a controlled method, preferably at

摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption and mechanical knocking by moving articles by a drive unit, and providing a damper assembly selectively operated at the first time in a cycle of a crankshaft but not operated at the second time in the cycle of the crankshaft. SOLUTION: In order to move articles among a receiving part, the receiving part is moved forward at slower speed and backward at faster speed by a drive unit. A damper assembly 136 is provided with a first sprocket 142, a second sprocket 144 and a speed increaser/torque amplifier 140. A sensor or a candy switch is used for a control to output a signal to a brake 152 and then used to stop signal output at the second time in a cycle. Particularly the control operates the brake 152 during negative crank torque to a motor but does not operate the brake 152 during positive crank torque to the motor.

摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine the alignment parameter of the wheel of a four-wheel vehicle by enabling each of alignment heads to control the performance of functions given to each function control module. SOLUTION: A system bus 26 is included in an alignment system including a plurality of wheel alignment heads being arranged so that they are mounted at a specific orientation for a wheel. A communication means is connected between a plurality of alignment heads and the system bus 26. The system includes at lead one system function device and a function control module connected between each function device and the system bus 26. A controller is provided at each function control module and the communication module 31, and a main processor device (CPU 42) is connected to the system bus 26, thus performing system calculation, sequencing control, and determining the will from the function control module and a communication routine.

摘要: PURPOSE: To execute a collation as to whether values are right or not and determine whether six sensors are deviated from right values or not by calculating toe angles of wheels by using only the six sensors when any one of the eight sensors is not operated. CONSTITUTION: Sensors 20 to 34 perform communication with a computer 36 within a console 38. The computer 36 processes data generated from the sensors 20 to 34 in accordance with a programmed instruction and displays toe angle information together with other information on a video display 40. A keyboard 42 inputs instructions and vehicle characteristics into the computer 36. Heads 10 to 16 generate raw data from the sensors 20 to 34 and raw data is subsequently inputted into the console 38. This data exists while data is refreshed or generated many times per second in response to a polling instruction received from the computer 36. Because the sensors 20 to 34 measure angles, raw data shows the measured angles.
