SOLUTION: A first write-once type recording layer 14, capable of recording information by irradiation with the laser light having wavelength of 450 nm or shorter is provided on a first substrate 12 of a first optical information recording medium 10A. A dyestuff, indicating a first weight reduction at 250°C or lower and a second weight reduction at 260°C or higher and having 60% weight reduction ratio or smaller at the time of reaching 300°C by thermogravimetric analysis, is contained in the first write-once type recording layer 14. SOLUTION: The optical recording medium which has a recording layer to record or reproduce signals by being irradiated with a laser beam of a wavelength of 450 nm or less through a lens having a numerical aperture (NA) of 0.6 or larger and less than 0.7, and has the C/N rise power of 2.5 mW or larger when recording by using a single wave of 16.2 MHz. It is desirable that this recording layer contains at least two kinds of dyes preferably satisfying at least one of the following condition A or condition B.
