Abstract: When a vehicle is rear-ended and a seated user moves rearward in reaction to the rear-end collision, a load generated by a rearward movement of a lumbar portion of the seated user is transmitted from a pressure plate (10A) of operating force generating means (10) to an operating force generating mechanism (10B). Then, a pressure roller of the operating force generating mechanism (10B) deflects and pulls inner cables of pulling cable devices (11, 11), thereby moving both end portions of a headrest frame (7) upward. As a result, the headrest frame (7) is moved upward along with headrest supporting brackets (7C, 7C) smoothly and reliably, whereby a headrest (4) attached to the headrest supporting brackets (7C, 7C) with headrest stays (4A, 4A) arranged between the headrest (4) and the respective headrest supporting brackets (7C, 7C) is moved in the upward-forward direction, that is, toward the head of the seated user smoothly and reliably.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle seat device in which any play or abnormal noise can be suppressed even when various kinds of loads and vibrations are applied, and the operational performance can be reliably maintained as necessary. SOLUTION: A projecting part 45 formed on a body part 30 and a lid part 50 is brought into elastic contact with a plate part 61 of an arm 6 by a space formed in a casing 3 to absorb the clearance provided between the arm 6 and the casing 3. Since only the projecting part 45 is brought into contact with the arm 6, and a space is provided in another part, friction resistance is reduced, and the arm 6 is smoothly turned.

Abstract: When a vehicle is rear-ended and a seated user moves rearward in reaction to the rear-end collision, a load generated by a rearward movement of a lumbar part of the seated user is sufficiently transmitted from a pressure plate (10a; 20c) of operating force generating means (10) to an operating force generating mechanism (10B), regardless of an amount of rearward tilting of a seat back (3). Then, a pressure roller (10P) serving as a driven member of the operating force generating mechanism (10B) largely deflects and sufficiently pulls inner cables (11B, 11B) of respective pulling cable devices (11, 11), thereby smoothly moving both end portions of a headrest frame (7) upward. As a result, the headrest frame (7) is moved upward smoothly and reliably, and a headrest (4) is moved in an upward-forward direction, that is, toward the head of the seated user smoothly and reliably.

Abstract: A vehicular seat (1) includes at an upper part of a seat back (3) an upper frame (6) which extends in a widthwise direction of the seat back (3). An actuator unit (16) which generates a drive force is attached along the upper frame (6). A headrest support frame (8) is provided to the upper frame (6) so as to be capable of moving in a front-and-back direction. When an acceleration equal to or above a predetermined value is applied to a vehicle by a collision from behind, a drive force generated by an operation of the actuator unit (16) is transmitted to the headrest support frame (8). By moving the headrest support frame (8) in a direction along which it approaches an occupant (M) by using this drive force, a headrest (9) supported to the headrest support frame (8) moves frontward.
