摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydroxylamine ester as a polymerization initiator.SOLUTION: There are provided the new cyclic- and open-chain hydroxylamine ester and a polymerizable composition including this hydroxylamine ester and an ethylenically unsaturated monomer or oligomer. Additionally, there are provided the use as polymerization initiators and the use of known hydroxylamine esters selected from the group consisting of HALS compounds and the novel hydroxylamine esters for the controlled degradation of polypropylene and for achieving a controlled increase in the molecular weight of polyethylene.

SOLUTION: The polymer compound is a compound for functionalizing a polymer, that is at least one compound selected from the group consisting of sterically hindered phenols, sterically hindered amines, lactones, sulfides, phosphites, benzotriazoles, benzophenones, and 2,4,6-triaryl-1,3,5-triazines represented by a prescribed chemical structural formula, wherein the polymer compound can be obtained by reacting a compound containing at least one reactive group with a compatibiliser compound which is a polymer containing acid groups, acid anhydride groups, ester groups, epoxy groups, or alcohol groups, or a compatibiliser compound which is a copolymer or a terpolymer of polyethylene, polypropylene, vinyl acetate, or styrene with acrylic acid.

摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for chain stopping of PVC polymerization resulting in increased efficiency of the chain termination step.
SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a method and a composition for the chain stopping of vinyl chloride polymerization or copolymerization in the presence of a stable free nitroxyl radical and a phenolic antioxidant. A further subject of the invention is the use of a stable free nitroxyl radical together with a phenolic antioxidant as a chain stopping mixture for polymerization or copolymerization of vinyl chloride. Another aspect is the use of higher sterically hindered nitroxyl radicals as chain stopping agents for the vinyl chloride polymerization.
