Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical-orientation type liquid crystal orientation agent, excellent in vertical orientation, short in erasing time of persistent vision in a liquid crystal display element, and preferably usable as a MVA-type liquid crystal display element, and to provide a liquid crystal display element.
