    摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a genetic polymorphism and a hair shape susceptibility gene that are related to hair shape and a method for determining genetic susceptibility to hair shape in each test subject. SOLUTION: The hair shape susceptibility gene is a gene in the 1q21.3 region (D1S2696-D1S2346) of human chromosome 1 that overlaps a haplotype block comprising a specific base sequence and that is determined by means of linkage disequilibrium analysis of single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) markers wherein the allele frequency is statistically significantly different between a group that has a non-straight hair trait and a group that has a straight hair trait.
