SOLUTION: In conducting peripheral welding for end parts of high strength steel pipes having a base material structure containing C:0.03% or less, Si:0.70% or less, Mn:0.30-2.00%, Cr:10.5-15.0%, Ni:7.0% or less, N:0.03% or less, O:0.01% or less, and containing one or two kinds out of Nb:0.20% or less, V:0.20% or less, using a welding material containing C+N:0.3% or less, Si:1.0% or less, Mn:2.5% or less, Cr:10.5-24.0%, Ni:8.0% or less, or further one or two kinds out of Mo, Cu, and/or one or two kinds or more selected from Nb, Ti, Zr, B, W, and/or Ca, REM, the welding joining is conducted using a GTAW method of GMAW method. In welding using the GMAW method in a 100% inert gas, the welding material is preferably made to contain REM as the essential containment.
