摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To find a novel compound or medicine for use as a therapeutic agent for inhibiting formation, deposition, accumulation and/or residual of amyloid and synuclein. SOLUTION: There are provided bis- and tris-dihydroxyaryl compounds, their methylenedioxy analogs, and pharmaceutically acceptable esters, and their synthesis, pharmaceutical compositions containing the above compounds, the use of them in the treatment of amyloid diseases, especially Aβ amyloidosis (observed in e.g. Alzheimer's disease), IAPP amyloidosis (observed in e.g. type 2 diabetes), and synucleinophathy (observed in e.g. Parkinson's disease), and the use of them in manufacture of medicaments for the treatment.
