In the spray process, a first spray means sprays spray liquid. In a period since the beginning of the spray and until additional spray time T1 establishing equation (1) 0.2τ≤T1≤τ(τ=V/Fair), a second spray means additionally sprays spray liquid of an amount of additional gas volume amount K establishing equation (2) 0.6κ≤K≤1.6κ(κ=(Fin/Fair)×V) into a powder channel. Here, Fin is gas volume flow, Fair indicates air volume flow of the air discharged out of the powder channel, and V is volume of the inside of the powder channel. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner having excellent stability even as time elapses such as stability in charging and a method of manufacturing the same, and to provide a two-component developer using the toner, a developing device, and an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The toner 1 is the capsule toner made of core particles 2 being resin particles and fine resin particles 3 covering surfaces of the core particles 2. The fine resin particle 3 forms a coating film 4 when a process for forming a film progresses. The core particle 2 and the fine resin particle 3 are made of noncrystalline polyester resin. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner which is capable of maintaining good cleaning property stably for a long period of time, prevents toner aggregation by the effect of a coating layer formed on a surface thereof, and excels in aging stability, a method of manufacturing the toner, a two-component developer, a developing apparatus, and an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The toner is obtained by forming coating layers containing fine resin particles on surfaces of core particles containing a binder resin and a colorant, wherein the coating layers are formed by partially fusing the fine resin particles to at least either the core particles or adjacent fine resin particles. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a toner in which the amount of the bleed out of waxes is remarkably reduced, which has offset resistance, a wide non-offset region and an excellent fixability to a recording medium, whose flocculation upon preservation is hard to occur, and which can form a high resolution image with a high image density. SOLUTION: In a melt emulsification process where a molten kneaded matter of a toner raw material and an aqueous medium comprising a dispersant are mixed under heating, so as to produce toner particles, two or more kinds of waxes each having a melting point of 60 to 100°C are incorporated into the toner raw material, thus the dispersibility of the waxes in the obtained toner particles is improved, so as to prevent the bleed out of the waxes to the toner particle surfaces. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing toner by which substantially spherical toner particles can be readily manufactured. SOLUTION: A kneaded material obtained by heating, melting and kneading a toner composition comprising at least a binder resin and a colorant, and an aqueous medium containing water are put in a housing container 2 of a granulating device 1 and heated by a heater 13, while being stirred to disperse the kneaded material into a softened state in the aqueous medium. Here, a set granulation temperature T1, at which a loss tangent calculated by dividing the loss modulus G" of the kneaded material by the storage modulus G' reaches a preliminarily determined loss tangent of A, specifically in the range of 0.5 or larger but smaller than 5.0, is inputted to a granulation temperature input means 17. The granulation temperature which is the temperature of the aqueous medium measured with a thermometer 14, consequently, the temperature of the kneaded material in the aqueous medium is adjusted to the set granulation temperature T1 by controlling the operation of the heater 13 with a control means 15 so as to render the granulation temperature which is the temperature of the aqueous medium into the set granulation temperature T1 inputted by the input means 17. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a toner by which a toner capable of preventing hot offset and having a narrow particle size distribution can be manufactured without using an organic solvent. SOLUTION: The toner is manufactured by carrying out a melt kneading step (s1) of melt-kneading raw materials including a binder resin, a colorant, a release agent and a compatibilizer which compatibilizes the binder resin and the release agent to disperse the raw materials except the binder resin in the binder resin, and a granulation step (s3) of obtaining toner particles by softening the binder resin in a resin kneaded material obtained at the melt kneading step in an aqueous medium comprising a dispersant and water, and dispersing the resin kneaded material in the aqueous medium to produce toner particles.
