PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capsule toner which can suppress the occurrence of low temperature off set and high temperature off set and suppress decrease in fluidity in the case of agitation over a long time, and a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A capsule toner includes a toner base particle, and a resin coating layer provided on the surface of the toner base particle. The resin coating layer is formed of a large-diameter resin fine particle, and a small-diameter resin fine particle. The large-diameter resin fine particle is composed of a first amorphous resin. The small-diameter resin fine particle has a volume average particle diameter smaller than that of the large-diameter resin fine particle and composed of a second amorphous resin.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a capsule toner which is excellent in low-temperature fixability and hot-offset resistance and is capable of improving blocking resistance.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a capsule toner comprises: a toner base particle preparing step of obtaining amorphous toner base particles; a crystalline polyester resin fine particle adhering step of obtaining crystalline polyester fine resin particle adhering toner base particles by mixing toner base particles and crystalline polyester resin fine particles; a noncrystalline resin fine particle adhering step of obtaining noncrystalline resin fine particle adhering toner base particles by mixing the crystalline polyester fine resin particle adhering toner base particles and noncrystalline resin fine particles; a spraying step of spraying a spray liquid to the noncrystalline resin fine particle adhering toner base particles under stirring; and a film forming step of forming a resin coated layer on the surface of the toner base particles by continuing stirring until noncrystalline resin fine particles on the surface of the noncrystalline resin fine particle adhering toner base particles are softened to form a film.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing for manufacturing a toner at short times with a high yield, a toner of a good film state where resin fine particles are uniformly made like a film on the surfaces of toner base particles, and to provide toner manufactured by the manufacturing method, a developer containing the toner, a developing device using the developer, and an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the toner includes: a resin fine particle sticking process; a spray process; and a filming process. In the spray process, a first spray means sprays spray liquid. In a period since the beginning of the spray and until additional spray time T1 establishing equation (1) 0.2τ≤T1≤τ(τ=V/Fair), a second spray means additionally sprays spray liquid of an amount of additional gas volume amount K establishing equation (2) 0.6κ≤K≤1.6κ(κ=(Fin/Fair)×V) into a powder channel. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin coated carrier for stably charging toner with an external additive of a large grain diameter added thereto for a long time, a two-component developer containing the carrier, and a developing device and image forming apparatus for forming a high quality image with no fog for a long time using the two-component developer. SOLUTION: The resin coated carrier is used with a toner in which an external additive having an average primary particle size of 50 nm or more is added to a toner particle, and has a carrier core and a resin coating layer on the surface of the carrier core. In the resin coated carrier, the following expression (1) is satisfied: 0.5≤-logä(A/C)/(B/C)}≤2.5 wherein A represents a volume resistance value (Ω/cm) of the resin coated carrier in an electric field of 1000 V/cm that is obtained by conducting a stirring test, B represents a volume resistance value of the resin coated carrier in an electric field of 1000 V/cm before the stirring test, and C represents a volume resistance value (Ω/cm) of the carrier core in an electric field of 1000 V/cm. SOLUTION: Numbers of holes 7 are formed in a two layer porous film 4 interposed between a lower substrate 2 and an upper substrate 3 and each pore 7 is filled with a transmissive liquid 8 and fine particles 9. When voltage is applied between an upper electrode 6 and a lower electrode 5, movement of the fine particles 9 based on electrophoresis is generated. When the position of the fine particles 9 is on the side of an upper layer transparent porous film 4a, white display is performed and when the position of the fine particles 9 is on the side of a lower layer black porous film 4b, black display is performed. When the porous film of the lower layer is constituted of periodically repetitive three primary colors of RGB or a color filter is disposed on the upper transparent substrate 3, color display can be also performed.
