Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus having an intermediate transfer means, the apparatus for maintaining an image carrying means in a clean state for a long period of time and suppressing degradation in the image quality of a formed image even when the supply of a recording medium fails prior to a primary transferring step in the process of using a spherical toner. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 100 includes a photoreceptor drum 11, an intermediate transfer belt 25, a cleaning blade 42, a recording medium supply unit 5, a cleaning assist roller 50, a recording medium detection sensor, and a control unit. When a determination result that transfer is not possible is sent to the control unit, the unit performs control in such manner that the cleaning assist roller 50 enlarges a transfer nip and that a toner image on the photoreceptor drum 11 is transferred onto the intermediate transfer belt 25. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate filming and blocking caused by a release agent exposed on a toner surface, and to provide a toner which avoids hot offset and excels in cleaning property and a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: Toner particles 1a before elution treatment include at least a binder resin 2, a colorant (not shown) and a paraffinic wax 3a and an ester or carnauba wax 3b as a release agent, wherein the paraffinic wax 3a and the ester or carnauba wax 3b are dispersed in the binder resin 2 in a uniform dispersion diameter. When such toner particles 1a before elution treatment are subjected to elution treatment, the paraffinic wax 3a in the release agent exposed on the surfaces of the toner particles 1a is eluted into a solvent and removed and a toner 1b after elution treatment is obtained. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing apparatus capable of immediately agitating a toner supplied to a two-component developer surface, for promptly mixing the toner homogeneously into the two-component developer. SOLUTION: Since one end of a paddle 23 is disposed, at a position slightly away from immediately below a toner supply opening 18, a toner ends up being dropped from the supply opening 18 to the vicinity of one end of the paddle 23. When the puddle 23 is rotated, the toner on the two-component developer surface is once pumped up, together with the two-component developer in the vicinity thereof by fins 23a of the puddle 23. Subsequently, the toner and the two-component developer are dropped from the fins 23a of the puddle 23 so that the toner lump is solved by the impact, at the time of dropping onto the two-component developing agent surface. According to the rotating motion of the puddle 23, pumping up and dropping of the toner and the two-component developer are repeated so that the toner on the two-component developer surface is agitated directly, while the toner lump is solved. SOLUTION: The amounts of the same external additive 3 for resistance regulation externally added to a cyan toner 1c, a magenta toner 1m and a yellow toner 1y are regulated so that the volume resistivity of each color toner falls within a preliminarily set range, whereby the volume resistivities of the cyan toner 1c, the magenta toner 1m and the yellow toner 1y can be regulated to the preliminarily set range, therefore the charge amount of each color toner falls within the preliminarily set range.
