    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera module having a shield effect with by simple configuration without excessively increasing the size of the camera module.SOLUTION: The camera module includes a shield case 5 covering an optical unit 1, a lens holder 9, and an imaging unit 3. Recessed portions 15a are formed at sides of a sensor cover 15. On a surface of a substrate to which an imaging element 6 is mounted, ground pads 19 are provided so as to face the recessed portions 15a of the sensor cover 15. The recessed portions 15a are filled with conductive materials 20 electrically connecting the shield case 5 and the ground pads 19, thereby preventing the formation of a fillet of the conductive material 20 outside the external shape of the shield case 5. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the size of the camera module from being increased due to the formation of the fillet of the conductive material while improving the shield effect with the grounded shield case 5.
