PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sustained-release preparation uniformly releasing a volatile medicament therein for a long period even if the liquid medicament in a tubular container including the preparation is decreased. SOLUTION: The tubular container composed of outer and inner layers for the sustained-release preparation is provided, wherein the inner layer is 0.12-1.2 mm thick and of such foamed structure as to enable the liquid medicament to be sucked up by capillarity to a height of 25 mm or higher. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for disturbing any communication among hardly controlled harmful insects belonging to the subfamily Tortricidae of the family Tortricidae while showing a long-term disturbing effect and controlling effect, by using a communication disturbing agent containing a specific composition as a main component. SOLUTION: This method is conducted by using a communication disturbing agent containing a composition, as a main component, of (A) 40 to 97 wt.% of Z-11-tetradecenyl acetate and (B) 3 to 60 wt.% of mixture of e-11-tetradecenyl acetate and z-9-tetradecenyl acetate in the ratio of (5 to 95) to (95 to 5) and thereby disturbing a communication among the harmful insects belonging to the subfamily Tortricidae of the family Tortricidae and having Z-11-tetradecenyl acetate as a sex pheromone. This preparation comprises a 1st chamber of polymeric material containing part or the whole of the sexual pheromone with the minimum number of carbon atoms except the carbon atoms in the functional group among the aliphatic derivatives and a 2nd chamber of polymeric material containing the balance of the sexual pheromones. The mating disruptant targets at least one kind of insect pest which contains one or more kinds of acetates as a natural sex pheromone, the insect pest being selected from the group consisting of tortricid, armyworm, Sesiidae, pink bollworm, European grapevine moth, tomato pinworm, light brown apple moth, Grapholita dimorpha Komai, apple leafminer, tomato leafminer and European goat moth, all of which are substantially free of alcohol derived from the acetates as well as oriental fruit moth and omnivorous leafroller, both of which contain 1.5 mass% or less of alcohol or alcohols derived from the acetates. The mating disruptant contains the acetates and the alcohol or alcohols derived from the acetates wherein each amount of the alcohol or alcohols is 1.5-10 mass% relatively to each amount of the acetates.
