    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve manufacturing operability and to prevent peeling of laminated plates by providing a solder layer for integrally fusion-bonding piezoelectric plates to metal plates between the piezoelectric plates and the metal plates. CONSTITUTION:Solder layers 3 formed by plating solder containing Sn as a main ingredient are formed on both side surfaces of disc parts of a plurality of metal plates 2 to become electrodes formed by alternately laminating a plurality of piezoelectric plates 1 having electrode layers 11 on both side surfaces. Since wettability of the solder with the piezoelectric plates is low, even if the melted solder is extended from the piezoelectric plate at the time of melting and soldering the solder layer, it is not soldered to the side. Accordingly, a laminated piezoelectric element of this invention has low danger of conducting a positive electrode with a negative electrode. Further, since the melting point of the solder is less than 230 deg.C and the melting and soldering temperature of the solder layer is lower than the Curie temperature (250 deg.C) of the piezoelectric plate, polarization is not damaged at the time of melting and soldering the solder layer. Thus, repolarization is not required, and soldering strength is not lowered due to a stress to be applied at the soldering boundary due to the repolarization.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent discharges through empty holes of ceramic piezo-electric plates of a laminated piezo-electric element so as to improve the voltage resisting property and durability of the element by filling the empty holes ot the sintered ceramic piezo-electric plates with an insulating substance by impregnation. CONSTITUTION:In a laminated piezo-electric element composed of laminated sintered ceramic piezo-electric plates 1 with electrodes 2 between each plate 1, empty holes in the plates l are filled up with an insulating substance by impregnation. For example, sintered piezo-electric plates, each of which is composed mainly of lead titanate zirconate (PZT) and has a diameter of 15mm and thickness ot 0.5mm are dipped in an acrylic resin impregnant (1cP in viscosity) under a reduced pressure of 40Torr for five minutes and, after the pressure is increased to the atmospheric pressure, the plates are taken out from the impregnant. Then the plates are heated at 90 deg.C so as to thermally cure the impregnant after the plates are cleaned with a neutral detergent. The laminated piezo-electric element having the structure shown in the figure is formed by alternately piling up 80 pieces of the piezoelectric plates 1 impregnated with the PZT thus produced and copper electrodes 2 having a diameter of 13mm and thickness of 0.03mm.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the quality of a product and to reduce the production cost by fixing annular heat resistant impact members to the outside circumference of hole casting bosses which support cores and executing internal chill, then exposing the heat resistant impact members by cutting. CONSTITUTION:The cores 7, 8 which form the shapes of the product are supported by the hole casting bosses 9a, 9b and the annular heat resistant impact members 1 are pushed onto the bosses 9a, 9b. Projections 3 for positioning act to securely and exactly fix the members 1. The floating and positional deviating of the members 1 by pouring are prevented when a molten metal is poured into the space A of a casting mold 4. A parting line P and the product shape S are formed by the cutting, by which the product 10 is obtd. Since the product 10 is formed by exposing the heat resistant impact members 1 after embedding the same by casting, the crack and deformation of the product are prevented and the quality is improved. Since the members 1 are easily built into the casting, the production cost is reduced.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To easily ensure accurate electrical connections to projecting sections of electrode plates by positioning the projecting sections using cover members having the same shape as the side faces of a piezoelectric laminate containing electrode plates. CONSTITUTION:The shape of insulating members 20, metallic plates 10, piezoelectric thin plates 30, and electrode plates 40 excluding their projecting sections 41 are made to have the same shape except their thicknesses in the laminated direction. The projecting sections 41 have the same thickness as the plates 40 and rectangular shapes are formed outward in the radial direction from the center of the chord sections of the plates 40 in the same plane. The main body 1 of this laminate is formed by piling up the piezoelectric thin plates 30 and electrode plate 40, with the insulating members 20 and metallic plates 10 being piled up on both sides. Then slits 210 through which the projecting section 41 of the main body 1 can be passed are formed through the rectangular sections of the cover members 2 at the positions facing the section 41. Therefore, accurate electrical connections can be easily ensured to the projecting section 41, since the sections 41 can be positioned by means of the slits 210.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To restrain the occurrence of troubles such as discharge caused by the positional deviation of piezoelectric laminated pieces by a method wherein a jig which provides positioning pins is used, an electrode plate is a belt-shaped metal plate where an electrode plate extraction part is provided at a prescribed interval, and electrode plates and piezoelectric plates are alternately laminated through the intermediary of pins. CONSTITUTION:A belt-shaped metal plate 2 forming an electrode plate extraction section 22 is continuously fed to the receiving table 3 of a jig through the intermediary of a guide roller 7 and perforated by positioning pins which protrude from the receiving table 3. Then, a PZT piezoelectric plate 5 is placed inside the positioning pins 1 at the electrode plate extraction section 22 of the metal plate 2, a pressing plate 9 which presses down the piezoelectric plate 5 is placed on the upside of the plate 5, and a bending rod 8 which fixes the bend position of the metal plate 2 is arranged on a the guide roller 7 side. In succession, the guide roller 7 is made to move rightwards to bend the metal plate 2, the electrode plate extraction section 22 is laminated on the piezoelectric plate 5. Next, the piezoelectric plate 5 is placed thereon, furthermore the pressing plate 9 and the bending rod 8 are set, the lower pressing plate 9 and the bending rod 8 are pulled out. The guide roller 7 is made to move in an opposite side, the metal plate 2 is bent, and a laminate prescribed in number of layers is prepared.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce an air gap interposed between a piezoelectric plate and metal base and to prevent reductions in piezoelectric characteristics and displacing amount of a piezoelectric element by forming metal thin plates on both side surfaces of the plate by plating or depositing, coating the upper surface with metal paste, alternately laminating the plates and a plurality of metal plates, baking and integrally connecting them. CONSTITUTION:Metal thin layers 1 made of Au, etc., are formed on both side surfaces of a piezoelectric element 1 by plating or depositing. The upper surface of a thin layer 11 is coated with metal paste by screen printing, etc., to form a wet paste layer 12. Piezoelectric plates 1 and metal plates 2 are alternately laminated to form a laminate. The layers 12 formed on both side surfaces of the piezoelectric plate are baked, and the piezoelectric plates and the metal plates are integrally connected. Since the layer 11 formed by plating or depositing is engaged within a recess on the surface of the plate 1, an air gap interposed between the layer 12 and the plate 1 is extremely reduced. When a voltage is applied to the piezoelectric plate, its displacement is absorbed by the air gap to prevent a reduction in the displacing amount as the entire piezoelectric element, and to also prevent a decrease in piezoelectric characteristic.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable a title actuator to follow up the expansion and contraction of a piezoelectric element by filling a small hole provided in a piezoelectric laminate a conductive resilient member instead of an external electrode. CONSTITUTION:Ag-Pd paste 3 is applied to a small hole 2 in one element 1 so as to extend to the edge of the small hole, while a blank part 5 of 3mmphi for example is provided on the other small hole 4 in a concentric member with the 1mmphi small hole 4, to which part 5 paste is applied. Further, for the rear of the element 1, a 3mmphi blank part 6 concentric with the small hole 2 on the rear side of the small hole 2 and Ag-Pd paste is printed on the rear side of the small hole 4 so as to extend to the edge of the small hole. The surface and the rear are reversed and alternately laminated and sintered under pressure. Then, a material where silver powder is blended in acryl nitrile butadiene rubber is heated until it becomes fluid, and pressed and filled into the small holes 2, 4 in a laminate sintered body via spaces. Since electrical connection between internal electrodes is achieved through a conductive resilient member 8 in such a manner, the conductive resilient member 8 can follow up the expansion and contraction of the piezoelectric element and hence the electrodes are prevented from being damaged.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To treat waste liquid efficiently at a low consumption rate of water and electricity, by separating waste liquid containing organic impregnants into a sludge having high concentration of COD and a liquid having low concentration of COD, whereby the sludge is burnt and the liquid is used again as washing water. CONSTITUTION:When articles to be cleaned 4 with impregnant attached thereto are washed in a washing tank 1, a waste liquid 2a containing a lot of impregnant is produced. When the waste liquid 2a is heated in a heater separator 8, the organic impregnants are converted to polymers, in which polymers having specific gravity less than 1 are caused to rise to the surface of the liquid while those having specific gravity exceeding 1 are precipitated, that is to say, the liquid is separated into two layers: a sludge layer 6 having high concentration of COD and a liquid layer 9 having low concentration of COD. The sludge layer 6 is easily burnt, while the separated liquid can be utilized again, so that the waste liquid 2a can be treated efficiently. Consequently, consumption rates of water and electricity can be largely reduced and a large amount of the waste liquid 2a can be treated efficiently.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To main extremely efficiently the quality of a product by comparing the pressure increasing time and holding pressure to be detected in the stage of casting with reference pressure increasing time and set pressure respectively, measuring the deviation thereof and detecting automatically the casting abnormality in a casting stage. CONSTITUTION:The reference pressure increasing time required from the start to end of the pressure increase in a pressure increasing stage in which the pressure to be exerted to a molten metal increases with time is set. The set pressure in a holding stage in which the pressure exerted to the molten metal is maintained is set at the same instant. The pressure increasing time and holding pressure detected in the actual casting are respectively compared with the above-mentioned reference pressure increasing time and set pressure and the deviation thereof is measured. The casting abnormality such as molten metal spouting can be thereby exactly and quickly detected and therefore unmanned automatic casting is made possible. Since the pressure exerted to the molten metal is always detected, the abnormality in the stage of casting such as the oil leakage of an oil cylinder or mis-setting of the pressure is detected.
