PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a plastic lens with which a hardenable composition containing a compound having an episulfide group can be hardened by suppressing as much as possible the generation of optical distortion, and a raw material storage/supply apparatus suitable for storing and pouring the hardenable composition. SOLUTION: The hardenable composition is maintained within a range of -10°C to 19°C at blending or storage thereof, and is gelled by polymerization in an initial polymerization condition of 5 hours or longer at a temperature of 10±9°C and is then hardened by heating to a high temperature. The raw material storage/supply apparatus (1) is formed by supporting, on a movable base (2), a storage container (3) capable of storing a liquid raw material, a temperature regulating piping (34) for regulating the temperature of the storage container (3), and a temperature regulating apparatus (4) capable of regulating a fluid flowing in the temperature regulating piping (34) at a temperature lower than the room temperature. PURPOSE:To make possible selection of suitable injecting speed by a method wherein completion of injection of resin into a mold is checked by a photo-electric tube switch sensing that rays have been shielded between glass plates located on two sides, right and left, of an air reservoir. CONSTITUTION:The resin injected from an inlet 4 comes to an air reservoir 2 through a molding cavity 3. At this time, since the resin passes between glass plates 6 arranged face to face on both right and left sides of the air reservoir 2, rays reaching the photo receiving device 8 of the photoelectric tube switch are sheltered and this displacement signal is processed at a signal processing and indicating device 9 in order to indicate completion of injection of resin. In this manner, the completion of injection of resin can be checked securely and a suitable injecting speed can be selected.
