    摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous process for alkylation of a tertiary amine, particularly, a continuous process for quaternization of a cyclic tertiary amine useful for production of a highly pure cyclic quaternary ammonium salt.SOLUTION: The continuous process for alkylation of a tertiary amine includes continuous supply of a solution of a cyclic tertiary amine in a preferred solvent or a mixture of a plurality of solvents and optionally continuous supply of a solution of an alkylating agent dissolved in a preferred solvent or a mixture of plurality of solvents, to a continuous flow reactor; maintenance of the temperature in a range of from 20 to 200°C; recovery of a solution containing the pure quaternary cyclic ammonium compound; and then isolation of the pure quaternary cyclic ammonium compound. Specifically, the continuous method includes production of tiotropium bromide, glycopyrronium bromide and ipratropium bromide.
