Abstract:
In a particular embodiment, the invention concerns a lubricating grease having 70 to 95 percent by weight of a mixture that includes at least a first ester of fatty acid and of sorbitan, and at least a second ester of fatty acid and of polyoxyalkylated sorbitan. The esters are present in quantities by weight, relative to the weight of the mixture, of 10 to 90 percent and 90 to 10 percent respectively. The grease also includes from 5 to 30 percent by weight of at least one thickening agent.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suppressing method of damage caused by arcs between electric contacts preventing damage caused by arcs between the electric contacts by applying grease to between the electric contacts. SOLUTION: The suppressing method of damage caused by arcs between the electric contacts is that grease comprising 95-70 wt.% base oil other than fluorine-base oil and 5-30 wt.% a thickening agent and an additive is applied to the electric contact making a pair of terminals installed wiring on and off by relative movement to suppress the damage in a contact region caused by the arcs generated in the shut off of the electric contact. As the thickening agent, organic material-mixed bentonite is preferable. As the base oil, ester oil, glycol oil, or poly-α-olefin are preferable. Low viscosity base oil is preferable because energy by the arc is low. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
Abstract:
Grease compositions including borated epoxides as friction-reducing additives, are thickened with a proportion of metal hydroxy-containing soap grease thickener. Such compositions have unexpectedly high dropping points.
Abstract:
A thermally conductive silicone grease composition comprising at least the following components: an organopolysiloxane (A) represented by the following general formula: [wherein R1 designates identical or different univalent hydrocarbon groups; X designates identical or different univalent hydrocarbon groups or alkoxysilyl-containing groups of the following general formula: —R2—SiR1a(OR3)(3-a) (wherein R1 designates the previously mentioned groups; R2 designates oxygen atoms or alkylene groups; R3 designates alkyl groups; and ‘a’ is an integer ranging from 0 to 2); and ‘m’ and ‘n’ are integers equal to or greater than 0, respectively]; a thermally conductive filler (B); and an organopolysiloxane (C) having silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms on both molecular terminals and in the molecular chains; is characterized by excellent resistance to heat and reduced oil bleeding.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermally conductive silicone grease composition having high heat resistance and hardly causing oil bleeding. SOLUTION: The thermally conductive silicone grease composition at least comprises (B) a thermally conductive filler (for instance, aluminum oxide powder, zinc oxide powder, or aluminum nitride powder), and (C) an organopolysiloxane having silicon atom-binding hydrogen atoms at both termini of the molecular chain and in the molecular chain. In the formula, R 1 s are same or different monovalent hydrocarbon groups, X are same or different monovalent hydrocarbon groups or alkoxysilyl-containing groups represented by a general formula: -R 2 -SiR 1 a (OR 3 ) (3-a) (wherein R 1 is the same as the above, R 2 is an oxygen atom or an alkylene group, R 3 is an alkyl group, (a) is an integer of 0-2), and m and n are integers of 0 or larger individually.
