The housing 2 has a double structure including an inner electric wire protection member 30 and an outer electric wire protection member 10. In the tabular cable connector, the tabular cable 3 is provided with a slider 11 made of resin that covers one surface of each of the conductor parts in their thickness direction. The connector 5 is provided with a storage part 33 that is communicated with the insertion slot 31, stores the slider 11, and regulates movement of the tabular cable 3 to the connector 5 in an insertion direction. The end portion of the slider 11 adjacent to the other end of the connector 5 is protruded from the storage part 33 toward the outside of the connector 5, and is inserted into the mating terminal 7, thereby establishing electrical continuity between the conductor parts of the tabular cable 3 and the mating terminal 7.
