Abstract:
An information processing system is disclosed that makes it possible to easily create a process definition ticket according to a template created by checking common capabilities of devices. Devices on a network that have a potential for being used to execute a process based on the process definition ticket are selected, and information on capabilities of the selected devices is obtained. Functions common or uncommon to the devices are displayed in an identifiable manner based on the information on the capabilities of the devices. A process definition ticket template including common capabilities of the selected devices is generated with respect to process items in the template that are designated. A process definition ticket that is to be executed using the devices is created based on the generated template.
Abstract:
An image handling apparatus is disclosed, including an operation panel, hardware resources, a transferring part, and an image generation controlling part. The transferring part transfers image handle information input at the input screen to an external apparatus. The image generation controlling part receives and parses image generation information for at least one of the hardware resources to execute an image generation based on the image handle information, from the external apparatus in response to an instruction of the image generation, so that at least one of the hardware resources executes the image generation.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image sending apparatus which improves user-friendliness relating to uploading of an image.SOLUTION: The image sending apparatus capable of sending image data to an image recording apparatus connected to a network, comprises: a sending unit configured to send image data; a selecting unit configured to select an original image to be sent based on a user's operation; and a controller configured to control the sending unit. The controller controls the sending unit to send a reduced image generated by reducing the original image of the image selected by the selecting unit to the image recording apparatus, and to send to the image recording apparatus the original image corresponding to the reduced image sent to the image recording apparatus.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus enables efficient use of an image memory area according to processing contents set by a user. A CPU 1401 searches destinations set sequentially, and makes for each destination an image area information generating decision (S2003) for searching for a destination that generates an image a printer section 300 possibly output. After completing the image area information generating decision (S2003) for all the destinations (S2004), the CPU 1401 decides whether the image area information is to be generated or not in the end (S2005). When it decides that the image area information is to be generated, it sets a compression rate of a compression expansion circuit 1406 of an image compression expansion section 1405 at a higher value (S2006), and simultaneously enables the output of the image area data buffer (S2007) . When it decides that the image area information is not to be generated, it sets the compression rate of the compression expansion circuit 1406 of the image compression expansion section 1405 at a lower value (S2008), and simultaneously disables the output of the image area data buffer (S2009).

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the connection is complicated by being accompanied with an operation such as an ID input and an erroneous connection caused by an input error may occur, when selecting and connecting one from among a plurality of transmitters in a receiver side. SOLUTION: The wireless communication system consists of an image transmitter and a receiver, wherein a receiver having received a plurality of image data associates the received image data with a communication identifier and a channel and stores the image data, the plurality of image data having been received by the receiver through the procedure that transmitting the image data imparted with the communication identifier using the communication identifier set for each image transmitter and the channel set upon transmission, by using the set channel. Reduced images of respective image data are displayed on one screen of a display, and by selecting any image from among the reduced images, an image transmitter having transmitted the image is specified and connected in an occupant manner based on the communication identifier and the channel associating the selected image. A method detects if an image is compressed. The method determines a block grid within the image and establishes blocks from the determined grid. The method then computes differences between samples inside the established blocks and differences between samples across the established blocks. The method determines that the image is compressed based on characteristics derived from statistics of the computed differences.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve usability when moving images and still images are recorded. SOLUTION: On the basis of quality of a moving image set by a user, a data rate Rmv (bit/sec) of moving image data is determined and information about a maximum value Rmax (bit/sec) of the data rate in recording data on a recording medium 106 by a recording processing unit 105 is acquired. Then, a remaining data rate Rst (bit/sec) is calculated in accordance with a difference between Rmax and Rmv, and a data amount Vst (bit) per one screen of still image data is calculated.
