EXAMPLE:Vinylcoronene. USE:A monomer for electrically-conductive high polymer applicable as an electrically-conductive material such as antistatic agent, electromagnetic wave shielding material, gas sensor, anode material for secondary battery, elec trochromic display material, etc., or a carrier transporting material for electrophotographic sensitized material. PREPARATION:A compound shown by formula III is reacted with methy lenetriphenylphosphorane or a compound shown by formula IV (R is H or lower alkyl) is esterified with a vinyl unsaturated carboxylic acid halide or an acid anhydride thereof to give a compound shown by formula I. The com pound has polymerizability and pi conjugated system.
