    摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing a modified polymer, by which an alkoxysilyl group can be easily introduced into a molecule terminal of a polymer.SOLUTION: The process for producing a modified polymer is provided in which acidity or basicity of a system is changed in such a manner that when the system is acidic, the system is rendered basic, and when basic, the system is rendered acidic, the system including: a polymer, the molecular weight of which has been lowered through decomposition by oxidative cleavage at carbon-carbon double bonds in the main chain of the polymer; and a functional molecule which has an alkoxysilyl group represented by the following formula (A) in the structure, thereby bonding the decomposed polymer to the functional molecule. As a result, a modified polymer where the alkoxysilyl group has been introduced into at least one of the molecule terminals, is obtained. In the formula (A), Rrepresents an alkyl group of a carbon number 1 to 10, Rrepresents an aldehyde group or a carbonyl group, Rrepresents an alkyl group of a carbon number 1 to 10, m represents a number of 1 to 3, n represents a number of 1 or 2, and l represents a number of 0 to 2.
