PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflection plate for an optical encoder that reduces deterioration of light reflection property, as well as a manufacturing method of an encoder and a reflection plate for an optical encoder.SOLUTION: There are provided a reflection plate for an optical encoder including: a substrate G formed by using a glass material; a light reflection part M provided on a part of the surface of the substrate and reflects light; and a light absorption part S provided on the substrate and absorbs light that enters on an area other than the light reflection part of the substrate, as well as an optical encoder using the reflection plate.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scale for an encoder, capable of enhancing reliability without inviting increase in costs, and to provide a scale for the encoder manufacturing method for manufacturing such a scale for the encoder and an actuator using such a scale for the encoder.SOLUTION: In the scale for the encoder with a high reflectance section and a low reflectance section, the high reflectance section and the low reflectance section are formed by printing. Thereby, a scale for the encoder with a high reliability can be provided at a low cost.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine locations of moving objects with maximum length sequences. SOLUTION: A location of an object 220 is determined by arranging a sequence 210 of bits on a substrate 205. The sequence 210 of bits includes subsequence 230 of bits, and each subsequence of bits is unique for each location along the substrate 205. When the object 220 is at a particular location along the substrate 205, a sensor 221 detects the subsequence 230 of bits at the particular location, and a decoder 255 associates the location of the subsequence 230 at the particular location with the object 220. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric encoder excellent in handling and work efficiency. SOLUTION: This photoelectric encoder includes: a scale; a detection head; a plurality of fibers for propagating light irradiated to the scale and reflected light received from the scale; a first cable and a second cable for storing the plurality of fibers inside; and a casing for storing a light source for supplying light into the plurality of fibers and a light receiving element for receiving reflected light propagated through the plurality of fibers and converting the light into an electric signal. The first cable, the second cable and the casing are arranged in the order of propagation through the plurality of fibers, of the reflected light of the light irradiated to the scale. The plurality of fibers are stored in the first cable so that each fiber position is fixed relatively in a direction orthogonal to a longitudinal direction of the fibers, and stored in the second cable so that each fiber position is changed relatively in the direction. SOLUTION: A mobile phone 1 includes a rotation detection switch with a case as a first member, a rotation dial part 41, an LED 131 irradiating light to a side of the rotation dial part 41, a light transmitting part A arranged on the rotation dial part 41 and transmitting the light from the LED 131 and changing a nature of the light, a light transmitting part B for changing a nature of the light in a different way from the light transmitting part A, sensors 133a, 133b, 133c arranged on the case and capable of detecting the light from the light transmitting part A and/or the light transmitting part B, and a rotation detection part 72 detecting rotation of the rotation dial part 41 based on the nature of the light detected by light detecting sensors 133a, 133b, 133c.
