A high temperature resistant sound absorbing material that is manufactured by using the method of the present invention is mounted on sites that are closest to noise sources in an engine and an exhaust system to reduce the radiated noise of the engine and the radiated noise of the exhaust system and improve silence in a vehicle, and is applied to the vicinity of metallic parts with a temperature of at least 200°C to achieve a heat blocking function for the protection of nearby plastic and rubber parts.

The sound absorption materials have excellent sound absorption properties, flame retarding properties, thermal resistance properties, and thermal insulation properties and are applied to a part in which a high temperature over 200°C is maintained.

The present invention provides a multilayer mounting mat for mounting a pollution control element. The mounting mat comprises a layer of intumescent material between two non- intumescent layers defining opposite major sides of the mounting mat. The mounting mat in accordance with the present invention is suitable for mounting a pollution control element in a pollution control device and is in particular suitable for mounting fragile monolith such as thin-wall and ultra thin-wall monoliths. Also, the mounting mats conveniently exhibit a good or excellent holding pressure over a wide temperature range and can be formulated in an inexpensive way. The invention also provides a pollution control device comprising a pollution control element arranged in a casing with the mounting mat disposed between the casing and pollution control element.

The present invention relates to an aerogel blanket which is used for thermally insulating a pipe and a wall for which thermal insulation is required, and more particularly, to continuous manufacturing method and device which are capable of continuously manufacturing the aerogel blanket having superior insulation and flexibility and the aerogel blanket manufactured thereby. The continuous manufacturing method for the aerogel blanket includes: a composite material coating process of manufacturing a plurality of low-density single fiber non-woven fabrics coated with an aerogel composite material; a multi connection process of coating and connecting the coated non-woven fabrics to manufacture a blanket having a multilayered structure; a web connection process of web-connecting the blanket having the multilayered structure; a drying process of drying the blanket manufactured in the web connection process; and a winding process of winding the dried blanket manufactured in the drying process. According to the present invention, the aerogel blanket having the multilayered structure may be formed by using a roll-to-roll manufacturing method to continuously manufacture the aerogel blanket having a superior insulation performance and flexibility, thereby significantly improving productivity of the aerogel blanket. When the manufacturing method and device according to the present invention are used, the mass production of the aerogel blanket may be enabled, and manufacturing costs may be significantly reduced.
