    摘要: A cutting block assembly comprising first and second interlocking blocks for resecting a distal femur. The first block has a first surface for providing a guiding surface for making an anterior chamfer cut on the femur and a second surface for providing a guiding surface for making a posterior chamfer cut on the femur. The second block is adapted to detachably couple to the first block. The second block has a first surface for providing a guiding surface for making an anterior cut on the femur and a second surface for providing a guiding surface for making a posterior cut on the femur. In another embodiment, the cutting block assembly is a four-in-one (4-in-1) cutting block assembly comprising a first block and second block attached to each other to form a first slot for making an anterior chamfer cut and a second slot for making a posterior chamfer cut.

    摘要: The invention relates to a device which is used for solidly connecting an acetabular cup shell to bone using at least one screw. According to the invention, the screw passes through a hole housing a ring mounted in the shell of the acetabular cup. The ring is mounted within an aperture of the shell and can be rotated therein about the longitudinal axis of the screw. The ring is a split-ring comprising a non-circular outer profile which co-operates with the non-circular profile of the hole which is disposed in the shell. In this way, when the ring is rotated in the hole and wedged in place therein, it is constricted thereby locking the screw to the shell in the desired position. Alternately the screw can have an enlarged thread adjacent it's head end to expand an internally threaded split-ring.

The blade includes a bar shaped to be releasably secured in a static position to a complementary surgical sagittal saw. A blade head with teeth is mounted to the bar to pivot. One or more drive links connected to the saw extend to the blade head to pivot the blade head. The cutting guide and blade bar have complementary features for holding the blade bar to above a surface of the cutting guide. The features that hold the blade bar to the cutting guide allow the blade to move over the cutting guide surface while constrain the blade from moving out of the plane immediately above the cutting guide surface.
