    Abstract: Systems and methods for providing incentives to prepaid customers of mobile devices, such as customers of services for mobile devices (e.g., voice, text, and/or data services) provided by a telecommunications carrier, in order to retain these customers, are described. In some embodiments, the systems and methods include a renewal event module that accesses information associated with a renewal event performed by a mobile device customer of a current prepaid service plan, a reward determination module that determines a reward to provide to the mobile device customer in response to the a renewal event performed by the mobile device customer, and a reward provision module that provides the determined reward to the mobile device customer. Further details are described herein.

    Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for enhancing mobile subscriber privacy in telecommunications networks. In some embodiments, in the course of a registration process, a user device and an associated telecommunications network exchange trust indicators (TrIs), and respectively verify them. The user device and telecommunications network also transmit personally identifiable information (PII), such as an International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI), in an encrypted form, and use a pseudo IMSI in place of the IMSI for the duration of the session.

    Abstract: A device switching technique that can be used when a user switches from a first cell phone to a second cell phone is described, wherein a phone provider detects an event indicating that a device switch is imminent and sets up temporary storage associated with a first device. At the user's convenience, the user performs a data transfer process to transfer a portion of user data from the first device to the temporary storage. When the user receives the second device, such as in a phone store, remaining user data is transferred from the first device to the second device, thereby decreasing the amount of time necessary to set up the second device.
