摘要: A hockey training device is provided. The training device includes a substantially flat sheet with a smooth upper surface. The present invention includes a plurality of elastic band suspended to the upper surface. A first vertical post and a second vertical post may be attached to the flat sheet so that the elastic band is secured about the first and second vertical posts. The elastic band includes a front surface facing towards a center portion of the flat sheet. Therefore, a puck may be passed towards the elastic band and the elastic band rebounds the puck towards the user. The device may be used to train both backhand and forehand shooting and pucks skills. Further, the device may be used to train a sliding skating motion in a skating training mode.

摘要: A method of transmission in a communications network is provided in which data is transmitted using a first radio access technology and a second radio access technology. The method includes providing an anchor carrier associated only with the first radio access technology and another carrier shared between the first radio access technology and the second radio access technology. Transmission via the second radio access technology is muted in the shared carrier during at least one subframe of each data frame transmitted using the second radio access technology. Data is transmitted using the first radio access technology in the shared carrier only during the at least one subframe in which transmission using the second radio access technology is muted.

摘要: An apparatus for drawing blood from a finger includes a flexible band, at least a portion of which is adapted to surround a portion of a finger. A remaining portion of the apparatus is disposed under at least one joint of the finger. The apparatus provides sufficient strength along its longitudinal length to restrict a child or other person from excessively bending the joint when the finger restraint is in position. After a puncture is provided near the tip of the finger, the apparatus is then squeezed to help force an additional quantity of blood to flow out through the puncture. After the blood sample is taken, the apparatus continues to “restrain” the finger until a required bandage is applied. A few of the many possible modifications are also shown.

摘要: The arrangement features a centrifugal impeller that exhibits relatively high operating efficiency and high pressure capability, and can be easily constructed as a single piece. The arrangement is useful where relatively high operating efficiency and low cost construction are required, and it is particularly suited for manufacture by injection molding plastic. The impeller is characterized by: a) a hub that extends to a radius less than that of the impeller inlet, allowing one piece construction by an injection molding tool with no slides or action; b) blades that extend from a radius less than the hub radius at the base of the blades, allowing the base of the blades to connect to the hub; c) an impeller top shroud that has curvature in a plane that contains the impeller axis; and d) a cylindrical area ratio between 1.0 and 2.0. The blower assembly is characterized by a separate base plate positioned in close proximity to the base of the impeller blades. The base plate can be incorporated into a motor flange or a blower or motor housing.

摘要: A methodology and related system apparatus is provided to most efficiently and flexibly respond to abnormalities to reconfigure and restore service to end customers in commodity distribution systems to enhance the circuit reconfiguration in an electrical power distribution system. Methodology is also provided to appropriately allocate system resources of the distribution system to prevent the potential overloading of electrical power sources. In one illustrative arrangement, the methodology is characterized by resources at each node and communications of source allocation data or messages to other nodes to request and establish an appropriate allocation of system resources. In a preferred arrangement and especially useful for larger distribution systems, “teams” of nodes are defined in the distribution system having associated switching controls with the various teams communicating amongst each other to “negotiate” or work out the most efficient and expeditious reconfiguration of the system in response to fault conditions and other circuit abnormalities.
